This place is so mean bruh. To set the scene, I have 3 pieces of leftover honey garlic fried chicken bone-in so i ask for a takeout box. I get the box but apparently they don't believe in bags, so yeah I guess it's fine or whatever. I put my 3 pieces of chicken in and then I start paying. I pay and then leave, BUT THEN I walk out and as i reach the end of the side walk, I realize I forgot my takeout! To be CLEAR, that was on me and it was my fault but... I walk back in exactly 1 minute later and ask the person who was serving me "Hi, I just realized I forgot my takeout box!" SILENCE... The worker is silent for a good 5 seconds while I'm waiting for a response... Then he goes "oh... THEY threw it away." ... BRUH. Firstly, its not "They threw it away" its "WE threw it away", stop trying to put the blame on your poor co-workers, it's your problem too. Secondly, if you were a good worker who provides good service for its loyal customers, WHY would you throw out my chicken without even waitng at least a minute. In my experience, other workers would literally chase after me trying to hand me my takeout. I am NOT expecting that much from you, but at least wait a couple minutes before actually throwing it out, its the bare minimum. I did not tip a whopping 15% just for this trash customer service. I don't even have to be tipping that much, I'm literally a child, not even that close to being an adult or someone with a job. I am UNEMPLOYED, yet I tipped 15%! If I did more than the bare minimum, I expect the same back. Also, what kind of person asks for a takeout box and then purposely leaves it there for it to be thrown out? I paid 24 DOLLARS for 7 pieces of chicken. You just threw out 10 WHOPPING DOLLARS worth of chicken. I guess some workers are too heartless and foolish to use their brains to think for just one second, why the takeout box is there. I did not tip this much just to recieve this unintelligent, unthoughtful, and poor service. You guys need to be careful who you hire because I have a bone to pick. If I recieve this unsatisfactory service again, someone will be getting a knuckle sandwhich with EXTRA knukle and a side of knucle (not literally because I am a good person who forgives and doesn't threaten people). In summary, please do a better job using your braincells because I know you are more intelligent then this! You are not alien, you are a human being. Next time, before you do something, think it through, use your gifted heart and your bright brain to form a reasonable action. Thanks...
Read moreBeen to this location three times now. Most recently with my gf who was finally freed from covid recovery prison lol. There's maybe like 4-5 street parking slots available. Otherwise you gotta park nearby at the theater or in the Terre Rouge parking lot (next to the merry-go carousel).
Our server was bubbly and smiley. Idk if it was the owner herself serving us but she was very knowledgeable about the menu.
It's a very famous korean fried chicken chain. They offer so much flexibility on their menu. You can get sautéed or fried chicken. You can choose wings, boneless or bone-in chicken. And you can go half and half on your orders if you want to try different flavors. There's just so much customization at this KFC place.
The chicken is super crispy, plump, juicy and sauced so well. The rosé tteokbokki is one of the best rosé tteokbokki my gf and I have ever had. The sauce reminded me of butter chicken but had the consistency of pasta sauce?! So it felt like I was eating a really hearty pasta. There was just so much umami in that tteokbokki.
I've tried the secret sauced (yangnyeom basically), golden fried, gangnam style and galbi Q. They all taste phenomenal. What's also unique is that boneless here is not popcorn chicken style like Home of Hot Taste, My-My or Mr. Chimaek. Boneless here means large chicken chunks that have been deboned. So that was interesting. I might actually prefer boneless here over bone-in now that I think about it. Tough call. All they're missing on the menu is literally padak flavor (green onion on top with honey mustard sauce).
Nevertheless, for korean fried chicken this place leaps right into my top tier alongside Mr. Chimaek, My-My and Home of Hot Taste. It might just leapfrog Home of Hot Taste (if you're just judging fried chicken) tbh.
I'll definitely come back to go through the other unique flavors on their menu (gangjeong and cheesling I'm looking...

Interior: Very clean and newly renovated. I still remember the old restaurant design that used to be here. This is definitely all different.
Service: Amazing. Very kind and caring servers. They'd apologize when they forget part of my orders and such.
There was a guest that came in to order take out and both times she entered the restaurant she had no mask on. Although she was far from me, I did feel a bit uncomfortable. Wished the swerved has reminded the guest to please wear her mask
Food: The radish was yummy and great sour level.
I've had their other location at Yonge/Finch area and the chicken temperature, texture and flavouring is just as good. Crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside.
The Cheeseling Fries were surprisingly good! There are definitely different levels of seasoning. I did wish the fries were a fried a bit longer to have a harder crispier fry.
The Crunch Prawn Sticks were fresh and hot. Didn't feel like they're just premade frozen shrimp sticks at all. We chose Garlic Mayo as our dipping sauce and it was so good.
The Honey Garlic Chicken was nice and juicy. Sauce was perfect.
The Gangjeong Wings were also good but the dry seasoning could be tossed a bit more. I felt that it only covered the top pieces.
Korean Soy Grilled Chicken Over Rice Great flavours and nice portion.
I did wish that they would offer real utensils instead of plastic ones. There were times where I struggled to get a fork in the meat.
Overall I'd definitely return to try more items off their menu and of course their...
