I accidentally stumbled upon COMEBUY Bubble Tea in Markham last week with a friend, and it turned out to be an absolute gem. We were actually on our way to a Candlelight concert hosted at the Toronto Marriott Markham, just a few blocks away, and thought we’d grab a quick drink beforehand. Little did we know, we were in for such a lovely experience!
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were super inviting and friendly, which is always a nice feeling, especially when you’re visiting a place for the first time. Since it was our first time at COMEBUY, they were really patient with us as we tried to figure out what to order. They even let us smell the different tea leaves used for the drinks before deciding—that was such a cute and unexpected part of the experience. It’s those little moments that really make a place stand out, and it showed that they care about the customer experience.
The atmosphere in the shop is pretty much what you'd expect from a bubble tea place—fun, casual, and comfortable. But I especially loved the small touches like the positive messages you could find around the shop. It added a unique vibe and made the place feel even more welcoming. It’s clear they put effort into making it more than just a quick stop for a drink.
After chatting with the staff and getting some recommendations, we decided to go for the classic COMEBUY Original Bubble Milk Tea, which was made with Ceylon milk tea, topped with Bubble and Crystal Jelly. It was fantastic—refreshing and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, which is something I really appreciate. I frequent places like TenRen, ChaTime, and Coco, but I have to say, COMEBUY really stood out. There was something distinctly refreshing about the flavour, and I loved the combination of the bubbles and crystal jelly, which gave it a nice variety in texture.
The only downside I’d mention is that parking in the area was a bit of a hassle, which is something to keep in mind if you’re visiting. It took a while to find a spot, and it can be a bit frustrating, especially during busy times. But honestly, the experience inside made up for that inconvenience.
Overall, I absolutely loved my first visit to COMEBUY, and I’m definitely planning to come back to try more of their signature drinks. The staff’s friendliness, the thoughtful experience of sampling tea leaves, and the quality of the drinks really left an impression on me. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Markham area and looking for a quality bubble tea experience!

Read moreI remember Comebuy from way back when they had a location in that lameoid Queen St West food court at Queen and John! Used to frequent it quite a bit, but I'm glad to say it's actually better than it was back then. Progress is great, right?
This place is in one of those new condos popping up all over Markham. It's actually near Downtown Markham, so you can get a tea here and catch a movie afterwards; it's really convenient. There's a parking lot in the back that Google Maps will point you to, it's the same as the one for residents but there's a small area for visitors.
Back in the olden times they had lots of standard bubble milk teas and juices, but nowadays they got fresh brewed tea, and cheese foam teas, and weird fancy teas... I think if I had to choose a favourite it'd be the roasted oolong with milk foam, or maybe the Neptune green tea with a bunch of toppings in it. It's really refreshing. The teas here have a pronounced tea flavour, and they aren't too sweet, which is just how I like it. They got crystal boba and agar jelly too, if you're a fan of those.
This seems like mostly a takeout joint for the building's residents, nonetheless the service is top notch. There used to be this cute girl there that would explain everything happily, but lately there's this really chipper guy that's always running to the door excitedly whenever a customer shows up to greet them. He's so upbeat, he really makes me laugh lol. I wish boba tea stores all had such friendly service, they're...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting this bbt shop. I received great suggestions from the cashier. I had ordered a barley black tea with bubbles. I told her that I usually order bbt drinks with 50% sugar. She recommended that I pick 30% sugar for this drink and 30% ice. Once I drank it, it was so bitter and earthy. There is no sweetness. It tasted bitter without the taste of black tea. The only sweet element was the tapioca pearls (thankfully). I'm fairly disappointed considering it's my first visit and I paid a whopping 8$ for a large drink (it didn't seem like there was a regular size option). I went out of my way to get there and was disappointed. I am not coming back, and I don't think you should either unless you want to be disappointed and misled by the workers' recommendation. Then again, to each their own preferences of taste.
Go purchase your bbt at chatime instead. Chatime is expensive, but it doesn't cost you 7$ for a drink with no...
