EDIT: It sucks I have to edit this as the owner is such a kind man but unfortunately his staff has been careless. Today was by far the worse so I don't think I will be back although I thought the chicken was better then other places.
I originally discovered this place 5 or so weeks ago and have consistently come back at least 1x a week. In a total of 4 visits, my chicken has been raw 2x. The last time before today, I had wings and then realized they were raw but funny enough I did not say anything as I know crap happens and did not want to embarrass the owner.
Today I went back to get a 2 piece meal and upgraded to a combo. 15 minutes later, I receive my order. The fries were cold and I was debating on saying anything but decided to since I have not experienced that as they make fresh to order. They were quick take back the fries and set a new order. Now remember, it is because they were COLD when I received them. The icing on the cake, when I get half way through a chicken, I then noticed it was still raw. I went to tell them at the front, which I could see the embarrassment of the owner. The employee proceeded to give me a refund for part of the order and his words, well I had to remake the fries? Umm? yes because you served me COLD fries. Either way, I didn't bother to object and allowed them to keep the $7 difference or so. I did really want to continue to come here as I love supporting local businesses and again the owner is a kind and nice man who always greeted me but today was just not a great experience. I was actually looking in from Pickering to visit this place each time but I don't think I will still its been a roll of the dice 50% of the time for the chicken to be cooked propertly. I popped im as i was driving by the area looking to grab a bite. Stumbled in and ordered fried chicken combo. Be patient as it takes at least 15 minutes however well worth the wait. Incredibly yummy fried chicken and much better then popeyes. Great crispy fresh fries. Nice service and clean and nice decor restaurant. I am unsure of the negative reviews but the food was very good...

Read moreI ordered a managers meal for me and my friends and were thirty-three cents short of the purchase so we asked the cashier for an exception and with a blank expression she replied with "no sorry". That is the most amount of greed I have ever faced. So my friend had to pay with his card which we were trying to refrain from. Now you could say that they were doing their job so I overlooked this aspect of my experience. We also had a long wait time which far exceeded the fifteen minutes which we were told to wait. Let me also mention the fact that when we actually ate the food it wasn't cooked properly, you could taste and see the uncooked aspect of the chicken. Now I was very frustrated about this restaurant and their service, so we decided to pack the remaining food and leave. When I asked the cashier (Different cashier) to pack the food he had an annoyed facial expression which gave us the feeling that he did not care about the customer which intern is extremely rude . Many people might say that I'm being too harsh and that I don't know anything about food. I very much know a lot about food because I used to work at fast food restaurant. People need to understand that as a customer we expect the best quality service and food as humanly possible. Employees are trained to handle all types of customers, whether rude or polite. Also I would like to mention that each and every employee contributes to the reputation of a company. Let me say that Chunky Chicken used to be good but, because of an increase in popularity they decided to decrease quality. Overall I gave this restaurant a one star because firstly you can't go lower (If I could I would give this a negative rating), secondly the quality of the food is utter trash, and last but not least the customer service was extremely...
