I was there with my family tonight for dinner..and it was extremely, extremely disappointing service. The lady behind the counter taking the order was not attentive while taking my order and kept repeating the wrong item. Then when I asked for water, she was taking everyone's order even after the customers that arrived after me and I had to wait for almost 15 mins. There were 2 to 3 other people behind the counter (one was on the phone, the other was just aimlessly standing there) when I asked them for Water, they pointed to the cashier saying "you have to ask her". Then I asked for ketchup and pepper for the fries, she said we don't have Ketchup or Pepper only salt. Then we asked for the white sauce, they said we don't have any because there was no delivery. While I was standing there another lady brought a tray full of the white sauce. So whe I asked for it, she hesitantly said "OK, I will give you" I was shaking my head thinking is this person for real? She definitely does not want me to be here. Next the food that we were given, it was cold, insipid, and the chicken kabab was smelling. When my wife took it to the counter, the lady at the counter in a disgusting manner asked her "What do you want". My wife said "the chicken smells", and the lady at the counter replied that's how the chicken is. I also felt the beef was smelling, which my wife and the rest of my family agreed. When we approached them to say the food was not good, the meat and chicken was smelling. They were just mumbling back to us that didn't make sense and it felt like she was getting angry at us. We then just left. It was the most horrible experience I had at a restaurant. Service --- Most terrible (the staff definitely does not deserve to work in the Service Industry) Food quality -- lacked taste, very poor quality and the meat smelling, I would say borderline health hazard. It was such a bad experience all along, I forgot to mention while the cashier was taking our order, there was a long centipede on the counter and I was pointing it to her. My father-in-law jokingly said "please make sure this is not included in my order, because i didnt pay for that". But boy that centipede was a warning for me to get the Hell Out, before I even sat down at the restaurant. Next time, catch the warnings, especially at a restaurant. I was there to have a nice dinner with my family and iturned to be anything...
Read moreThe place does not have a physical menu, there's a QR code for you to obtain the menu.
Which I did, and ordered exactly what the menu says, a kabob plate. The cashier rings me up incorrectly for a kabob wrap. I noticed this after I paid via tap as I was expecting an amount charged larger than I tapped.
I asked the cashier if she got my order correct, she states yes so then I turn my phone over and point this is what I ordered, is this it? Cashier says no you ordered a wrap.
I asked her to adjust the order to what I ordered, a kabob plate. Instead of refunding me, then putting up the new order, the cashier tried to adjust and make me pay for the difference which I suppose is fine.
Except, she run me up the difference for a larger amount than expected and incorrectly. The QR code online menu had 1 price and she run me up with an increased price. When I pointed this out to the cashier she said the online menu is old price, this is the price now.
That makes no sense, its an online menu, you can update prices easily. So for you to just make up a price, its absurd. The same thing happened to the guy behind me that ordered, he was charged a different amount.
So I asked for a refund. Because I dined in, they charged me $0.25 for a cup of tap water. I never got a cup of water as I am still there doing my transaction. The cashier kept asking me, so you want to refund the water for $0.25.
Yes I want a refund on the water of $0.25 because you NEVER GAVE ME A CUP OF WATER TO BEGIN with.
I honestly dont know what is going on with businesses. Switching and making up prices is absurd. Sure I want to support local, but not local that does not give me a straight advertised price.
If I can give lower than 1...
Read moreTook three friends to this place we haven't tried before as it had good reviews. This is a fast food take out experience with ample seating and lots of parking. Saw the family style menu and asked if we could get the dinner for 4. The cashier said she would ask the boss if we could sit in the restaurant to eat as this is ONLY for take out. How ridiculous of a rule this is especially if we ordered 4 separate entrees we could sit in. I ended up ordering the family dinner for 6 people so we could sit inside. When our order was ready, we had to get it ourselves as there's no table service even though there were so many staff behind the counter. We had to ask for plates, napkins, silverware etc. They gave us PAPER plates to eat off of (not very environmentally friendly) yet gave us silverware. On the digital menu board this orange clown kept popping up on the screen (should have been a clue, lol).
I was at Afghan Palace in Mississauga two days ago and the food was fresh, excellent quality and the service was impeccable. The food at Kandahar Kabab was on the dry side and they didn't have any white sauce. Only hot sauce on a Friday. A homeless couple asked when we were packing our food for our leftovers which we gave to them. Don't expect a warm reception and excellent quality food just because they have a beautiful entrance with an impressive water wall. Our bill was over $110.00 and we WON'T be returning as there are so many choices...
