The Dragon Legend restaurant owns the whole building and the okay sized parking lot that goes around the building. The entrance to the restaurant is on the side of the building, where the big red Asian looking gate is. There's the large main sitting area full of tables on the right. On the left of the restaurant, there seems to be more seating area, but it wasn't open. The washrooms are on the left of the entrance area. The sinks are on the outside and the toilets are separated into men's and women's toilets. The decor is... Unique. Similar to that of Dragon Pearl decor. Has the old ancient feeling. The ceiling in high. The lights are kind of dim in the seating area. The lights in the buffet area is bright. On both of the major walls, there plays two big screens showing a basketball game (Toronto vs. Cleveland). The buffet area is probably one of the smallest and most compact buffet areas I've ever been to. There are about 3 small islands of hot foods (dim sum, fried food, pizza, Chinese food), 1 major section of desserts, 1 major section of grilled foods, an ice cream & soft serve section, a sushi section, a cold foods/salads/fruits section, a noodle soups section with a robot that cuts noodles into boiling hot water, and the soups section. The food is definitely better than Mandarin. By a long shot. You go to Mandarin for nostalgia, not for the quality of the food. The food at Dragon Legend was really good... Except the cakes. The cakes were frozen, tasteless, and dry. Don't get the cakes here. Worst mistake. The servers were prompt with taking the finished plates away. They didn't kick us out when it was time to go. We actually were trying to flag down a server to get the bill cause we went over the time allotted. They seem to have read our minds and got us the bill. Overall, food quality is very good (except the cakes). There was this specialty soup that comes in its own specialty container that tastes clear and warm. There's Peking Duck. Enough said. We went for lunch on a Monday right as it opened at 11:30 am. We had a reservation (we were able to call in and book a reservation). Adult prices for lunch on a weekday is $27.99. Senior prices is adult prices minus 20%. The place filled up rather quickly with people, mostly seniors. Was surprised how busy it was on a weekday.

This establishment presents itself as a premium buffet, featuring an upscale selection of Chinese and Asian cuisine, including Peking duck, crab, and sushi. The cost per adult is $50+, and there is a time limit for dining—ours was set at 1 hour and 45 minutes. It's unclear whether the time restriction varies between lunch and dinner service. Reservations are strongly recommended to ensure seating. Notably, the restaurant offers a proprietary brand of oil, "Oliver Oil," as a substitute for the standard olive oil (see photo 1). On the Sunday evening of our visit, the restaurant was overwhelmingly busy, creating a chaotic and overcrowded atmosphere. The dining area felt more akin to a battleground for food rather than a leisurely meal. At one point, an individual inexplicably cut in front of us and grabbed all the half lobsters from the lobster and oyster station immediately after a new platter was presented. The overcrowding made it nearly impossible to discern if there was a proper queue at each food station, or even where one might begin (photo 3 only shows the place half full). Several of the staff members stationed at the buffet were notably unprofessional—rude, dismissive, and seemingly disinterested in assisting patrons. The behavior was off-putting, making it feel as though we were waiting in line for sustenance in a prison cafeteria rather than a premium dining establishment. Moreover, some of the staff had difficulty communicating in clear English, further complicating the experience. While the food itself was reasonably satisfactory, the overall experience was far from enjoyable. The frantic scramble for food detracted significantly from the ambiance and comfort one might expect from a higher-end buffet. Additionally, parking during peak hours proved to be an arduous task, with limited spaces and a general sense of inefficiency. In conclusion, the combination of subpar service, disorganized food stations, and inadequate parking renders the overall dining experience less than stellar. This establishment fails to meet the expectations one might have for a so-called "premium" buffet.

This is not my first time at this location, but this is probably my worst experience here. First, I'll start off with the positive. Just like its sister restaurant, Dragon Pearl, Dragon Legend has an extremely varied buffet with a large number of options. There's sushi, Peking duck, prime rib roast and King Crab legs on certain nights. The food is well-prepared for a buffet and empty trays are filled quickly. A favourite has always been the made-to-order noodles. The decor of the restaurant, with large dining chairs of dark reminiscent of battle ships of legend, is beautiful, the prices are very competitive and there is ample parking. The location, just off the 404, is extremely convenient as well. Where the restaurant falls FAR short, is the service. We were there today after a funeral, immediately following the interment. The immediate family, with high emotions and visibly grieving, were constantly being harassed by the wait staff on whether everyone had arrived yet, whether we were still expecting others, how big was the party, how many should they bill for, etc. They asked 6 times a different variation of the same question in the span of 15 minutes (no exaggeration, we timed it), constantly interrupting condolence wishes and not allowing the grieving family any peace. The bottom line was, they wanted to know what to charge and they wanted to know NOW, uncaring that the grieving hosts didn't even have a glass of water yet. Honestly, are you in the SERVICE industry or not? Are you incapable of quietly doing a head count? Is it not your job to pay attention to your customers and know who (and how many) you're serving? Is it not your responsibility to know how many, or would you have simply taken the family's word for it if they said there were only 2 people? I have NEVER been asked how many were in my party, be it a party of 5 or 50, much less badgered by the question constantly. No host bringing in a large party should ever be so poorly treated, much less a grieving family of mourners.

I went to dragon legend in a group of 8 on Aug 23 and we did not have a good experience with their food and service. First of all, DO NOT GET THEIR OYSTERS. There were tiny worms crawling inside and around the oysters. When my friend brought this up to the waiter, he said “it’s raw seafood, it’s normal” and when my friend replied with “there shouldn’t be worms”, the waiter said “then get something else”. The waiter also snatched the plate away while my friend was taking a picture of the worms. When the manager came to talk about the oysters. Once again, he said it’s normal to have worms because it’s raw seafood and that they “tried their best” to clean it. I have eaten raw oysters before but NEVER have I encountered oysters with worms crawling around. My other friend had gotten a plate of oysters as well and when he carefully checked, there was also a tiny worm squirming around on the shell. The whole experience just ruined our appetite. The manager tried to give us “complementary tea” as an apology but none of my friends want to drink tea at a 9pm dinner. After a long discussion, the manager finally said he will waive one person’s dinner. I also told him to stop serving the oysters since this may affect other customers. But we found out they were still distributing them even after our discussion. Overall, my friends and I were very dissatisfied with how they dealt with the situation. Especially that one waiter that gave attitude when he told my friend to “just get something else then”. They also tried to convince us that it’s “normal” to have bugs crawling around in our oysters. In the video attached, the worms had crawled from the oysters and onto the plate. Secondly, the raw tuna was very fishy and did not taste fresh at all.

Positive: - Food was good. Nothing too special. The most interesting and best thing there were the chicken wings, salmon sashimi, and chicken cartilage - The staff were quick with clearing up the dirty dishes and refilling our hot water - All the food was always in stock and never empty - Ice cream scoop was nice and hot! This shows that its clean! Negative: - They did not have crabs legs. Apparently they discontinued it - The lobster was only HALF a lobster tail that they gave. They cut it in half. It was boiled and zero flavors. Also very rubbery. They give you a ticket at the beginning and you only get one. But to be honest, the chicken wings tasted better. - The lady handing out the salmon sashimi was very rude. Her goal was not to give out more than three pieces of sashimi to anyone. When I asked for more, she gave me the look and said, “next time”. - No parking! We ended up parking on the side streets - Sushi options were very limited. Only around 7 options - Pricer than expected. Two adult came up to $125 after tips. - Their robot noodle maker was broken. The noodle that was cutting was slinging backwards! It was funny to see that the staff had a bucket ready there to catch bad noodles. How about just fix the machine? - The roast beef was out of stock at 7:30pm. Just some end pieces left. I asked the lady a few times when there will be a new one and every time she said 5 mins wait - The duck wrapper was very thick and dry Overall, I will recommend this over Mandarin. But for sure bit over priced. If they still had the crab legs, it will be more worth it.

All the hype, nothing to show for…. I’ve wanted to try Dragon Legend for a while now. I was inside once, then found out that there was an hour wait, so we left. This time, there was a promo - kids eat free with a paid adult (either lunch or dinner). We went on a Friday for lunch and the place was packed! The food stations were barely stocked and people were lined up for the Peking duck (2 pieces per person, and yes, you can go back for more). There was ample seating areas and the bathrooms had a shared handwashing station (outside of the men and women stalls). The decor is definitely on point, chairs were comfy and finished plates were taken away quickly. Onto the food - Peking duck was definitely my favourite - crispy skin, meaty, not fatty. I probably ate 10 pieces myself. The robot slicing the noodles was fun for the kids - this came in a small bowl with your choice of broth and topping. The rolls were extremely small and you could barely see the fish. Salmon sushi was ok. The hot foods were similar in quality to what you’d expect at a food court. Chicken wings were probably the best item in that category. There was a nice single serve hot soup bowl. The soup was brewed with Chinese herbs and was piping hot. There were lots of desserts to choose from - tofu dessert, cheesecake, mousse cake, etc. I think for the price, lunch would be the better option. I don’t think this place warrants the $45.99 (M-Thurs), $50.99 (Fri-Sun) dinner price tag.
