I know that store ratings are very valuable. Because when people decide to go to a restaurant, they first look at the store ratings and decide accordingly. And only 4-5 out of 100 people give ratings. That's why every rating is very important. Just like us, couriers, when we deliver 100 orders, only 5-10 people give ratings and if one of them is negative, your ratings may suddenly drop and your account may even be disabled. The store or the customer can rate our orders. Just like you. Couriers sometimes have to work 8-10 hours, sometimes longer. Because sometimes they travel 10-15 km for 3-5 dollars. So they can be tired. Sometimes they can be forgetful. Store employees need to help them and they should help store employees. They help each other when there is a missing order or a mistake. But today, instead of helping, you gave a negative rating and passed. When I came to pick up the order this morning, the order was not ready, I waited for it to be ready and when it was ready, I took the order and delivered it to the customer. After the delivery, I saw that the store gave a negative rating and it made me very sad. You reported that there was no insulation bag, but in fact there were 2 bags in the car, one big and the other portable. I usually put the orders in a big bag so that they do not get damaged and deliver them warm and safe. But you made a negative comment in the morning without asking. I hope you do not continue like this. Because when you make a negative comment, the food does not come hot, only the courier decreases or closes the score. Instead, you could have asked the courier or made a suggestion.

Best vibe from this place. Staff were super welcoming. Quiet space with news on the tv. Newspapers to read. Cushioned seats. The seating areas felt private and comfortable. The waitress knew all the regulars by name, and their orders. The people in the joint looked at peace, an older lady was slowly sipping coffee as she read a newspaper, a elderly couple came in and were greeted by name, and then asked if they wanted their regular, and like magic 10 minutes later, their regular order was served. A pair of young men sat behind me and talked about buisness, while the waitress refilled their coffee. The menu was bright and colourful, the tables were clean. I loved the tablewear, from the syrup pourers, the coffee mugs, the glazed plates, and all the condiments. The place was warm and smelled of waffles. The waitress brought me a large cup of ice water and a refill. The waffle i ordered was delicious and i loved the extra slice of ripe orange on my plate. The pace was slow, no one looked at you too much, the staff took their time, no one rushed to get you out of there. Just felt right. Definitely felt the place deserved a tip when i was done eating. Very hospitable, and i will be back.

Toronto is a multicultural city with people of all language levels and accents, and everyone deserves respect regardless of their English proficiency. I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend, and when I placed my order with a staff member, she asked several questions. However, due to her heavy accent, I had to ask her to repeat some questions. Instead of being understanding, she responded with a dismissive look and a condescending head shake, as if to imply my English was the problem. She also raised her voice in frustration. I didn’t say anything at the time, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant. I have no intention of returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Businesses like this should prioritize customer service and interactions. Additionally, the food quality was just average.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t even busy and we had to go behind the counter and get our own water and continuously call the waitress over if we wanted something. There were also three new items under one section of the menu that included Texas toast and home fries, but we were told these were not included even though the new items were the same cost as the existing items on that part of the menu that did include the side items. After we asked why this wasn’t included the waitress just said “oh I don’t make the menu” and laughed. We get it, but you can make a customer have a good experience by going above and beyond even when it’s not in your job description. After that the waitress wouldn’t even come to our table and was very short, we could also see her speaking to her coworkers (all standing behind the counter not checking on their respective tables). I was also charged $2.50 for a slice of red onion and some capers... which is obviously outrageous considering I could buy a full bag of onions for that price. This place is obviously just a forgotten franchise with low standards and poor business practices.
