kome sushi 米壽司 — Restaurant in Markham

Really bad sushi…. This was my first time trying Kome and I decided to give them a try after seeing their low prices. After trying them, I understand why… they are comparable to monkey sushi at best and everything was just poorly made/unfresh. Here are my main takeaways.

Spicy crab roll was not spicy whatsoever and super dry. Just seemed like chopped imitation crab meat, no sauce at all and I had a hard time choking them down.

Spicy salmon roll was warm and smelled fishy. I didn’t eat any of them in case it wasn’t safe.

Their ginger was smelly, slimy, and a little brown. The container was filled 1/3 with excess ginger liquid which contributed to the unpleasant smell, I didn’t eat it.

All of their rice was dry and hard and not seasoned. Felt like...

Just had an amazing takeout experience from Kome Sushi! The Green Dragon Roll was absolutely fantastic - crispy tempura shrimp wrapped in perfectly seasoned rice, topped with creamy avocado. It stayed fresh and delicious even after the trip home.

The star of the show was definitely the Salmon Family Platter. Such a generous portion and variety of salmon dishes! The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and the rolls were packed with flavor. It's clear they use top-quality fish.

Everything was neatly packaged, and the order was ready right on time. Great value for money too! If you're craving sushi for a night in, Kome Sushi is the way to go. Can't wait to...

This is a recently opened Sushi Sashimi restaurant, can't believe I am still paying the pre-pandemic price for the downtown Michelin star quality food. I am always advocate for chef-owned small restaurants that provide not only quality food and service but also unparalleled chef craftsmanship and attention to details. This is the restaurant that checks all the boxes. Special mention their A13, A14 and A15 in the menu. I am eating the fish quality that would otherwise costs me to look for an extra part-time job!
