I recently dined at Ajisen Ramen with friends and was blown away by their delicious offerings, particularly their spicy chicken ramen noodles and steak. The spicy chicken ramen had the perfect balance of heat and flavor, with tender chunks of chicken and a rich, savory broth that left me craving for more. The noodles were cooked to perfection, maintaining their delightful chewiness. The steak, on the other hand, was a delightful surprise. Cooked to my preferred level of doneness, it was incredibly juicy and flavorful, complementing the ramen dish perfectly. The combination of the spicy chicken ramen noodles and steak created a delightful symphony of flavors that left me thoroughly satisfied. The service was attentive and the ambiance was cozy, making it a wonderful dining experience overall. I highly recommend Ajisen Ramen to anyone in search of a delicious and satisfying meal.

Right now Ajisen and Santosei are my two go-to ramen places in Markham. Ajisen has a much larger variety of ramen bowls.....vs. most any ramen joint in the GTA. They range from the standard Tonkotsu & Shiyo soups, to the more westernized variants. Having said that, they are still on point with the flavors & authenticity--and are by no means compromising on the tastes. In fact, I've found many of their soups to be even bolder (extra oil) in tastes, which is something I quite enjoy. Besides ramen they also have the standard appetizer dishes (gyoza, teppanyaki beef plates, seaweed salad, to name a few) Prices are competitive (assume about $11/ramen bowl or $5-$8/appetizer) Ambiance is more of a "fast food" restaurant atmosphere, and service is smooth and prompt. Definitely a place my family frequents. One caution: parking can be a headache.

I was arriving in Markham for a business trip the night before a meeting. We parked at Ajisen Ramen at 11:45pm and ran inside and they were about to close. I apologized for coming in so late and the two ladies working were very nice and said they could only give us carry out and only take credit card since they had already counted all the cash. I was perfectly fine with that and ordered the pork original ramen. I got to the hotel at 12:15am and the ramen came in two containers, one with broth and the other with the noodles, pork and vegetables. They included chop sticks and a spoon with the order. The ramen was excellent and a great late night meal for me after a 5 hour drive from the USA. I will go back again the next time I’m in the area. I have no complaints about anything regarding this Ajisen Ramen and their staff were great!

i normally don’t do this but today sent me over the edge the first time i ordered from this location on uber eats, there was a loooonggggg hair in my pork ramen. I went into the restaurant the second time around w/ a friend. we sat down & waited 10 minutes to order. 20 minutes after ordering & awkward eye contact w the waitress as she checks in with every table BUT ours, she comes over to ask us if we’ve ordered yet, we tell her we ordered a little while ago. she goes to the kitchen & after a while, comes back to ask us what we had ordered & that she’s putting the order through now… we said nvm we’ll just leave. this location was busy, but not busy enough for that. today, i went in for lunch w another friend and had ramen with a couple of appetizers. one of the appetizers (kyushu fries) is topped with a fishy bonito flake, to which i’ve had before. my friend & i tasted the fries and could tell that the flakes tasted a bit off. we finish our ramen, our other appetizer & tell our waitress that the fries were not good, possibly expired. she got her manager, and we explained our situation. the manager says “this isn’t like mcdonald’s, it’s not just plain fries. there are other ingredients. we did nothing wrong” , and had repeated herself again after we explained that we’ve had the curry fries & understand that, it’s not what we were saying. the toppings were expired miss ma’am. I’m not sure what she was trying to imply with her “this isn’t mcdonald’s” comment, as it wasn’t necessary. I’d actually expect this kind of service from Mcdonald’s lol. it’s really unfortunate, as I get take out from Ajisen a lot. It seems like too many instances happen from this one location. It’s happened to a lot of my other friends as well, maybe it’s because they’re people of colour, or maybe this location is just always having a bad...

Didn't know there was a location even closer to home! (I've been to the location at Warden and Steeles twice). I was feeling for some ramen and wasn't really up to drive that far to my usual spot so googled other ramen spots in Markham and little did I know that this place has been open now for over 2 weeks.

Anyways the food here is just as delicious as the one that I frequent. I only usually get ramen and comment on any other dishes that they serve. The ramen broth is absolutely delicious and flavourful. Not too salty but also not bland either, it's just perfect. the noodles are absolutely delicious and it just soaks up the flavour of the broth very well. I got the beef teppanyaki; the beef itself was lightly seasoned, but once in the broth it just absorbs it, it was juicy and flavourful, I was actually sad it was done as I had absolutely devoured it.

The restaurant itself is clean and the staff is very attentive. I have only visited this locale at night so I'm not too sure how crazy it gets during the day, but at night it is very peaceful. There are not a lot of walk-ins but I am glad that it is open until late.

I do highly recommend this place if you ever need your...

Flavour = mid Broth's too salty and noodles are one size. Sansotei's better imo Proportions = mid the potato cakes are expensive for 2 halves :/ Aesthetic = mid the dishes when presented aren't the best. why half an egg when other places are one full egg? it's not even a soft boiled but a tea egg... other locations had one full soft boiled egg but only this location you have to ask for it (and its $1.99 extra apparently...) honestly you can go to Service = mid what happened to NOT wearing strong perfumes in a restaurant? there was a middle aged lady who ran my food and when she placed it and left there was a strong breeze of perfume residue. I understand that it's nice to wear perfume but please don't wear it especially at a ramen restaurant...it's going to affect the flavour of the food Treatment to employees = really bad i didn't want to believe the other reviews at first but it's true. I've seen a young employee cry one time when serving my friend and I. If you're going to make your employees cry why bother to eat here

I'm giving an higher rating because of how crispy the takoyaki are though. I really hope this location changes...
