Ask For Your Receipts Every Time You Dine-In Please
I went to Pizza Nova yesterday around 7:52pm, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience. I ordered two slices of pizza, a dip, and a mini Nutella jar. I specifically asked for a receipt because I wanted to leave a review. But when I asked for it, the cashier quickly mentioned that she had charged me for an extra slice. I was okay with it and asked for the receipt again, but things started going downhill from there.
She kept giving me excuses for not being able to print the receipt. First, she said she couldn't find it, then she claimed that the receipt printer was broken. I even offered to take a photo of our interaction, but that's when I realized something fishy was going on. The "extra pizza slice" turned out to be added as a $6.50 tip on top of my bill. This is not only fraudulent but also makes me wonder how many others might have been scammed like this.
I'm shocked and upset about the whole incident. All I wanted was a receipt for a review, and instead, I ended up with this unpleasant experience. It's really important for businesses to provide accurate receipts and not add unauthorized charges. I think it's worth reaching out to Pizza Nova's customer service to report what happened. After sending photos back to the store and asked for them to deliver the proper order, they refused. They then proceeded to tell me to stop eating the pizzas, and a driver would be there shortly to pick them up. I asked if I could just have them deliver the proper order, since I had a party full of people who were very hungry, and instead of accommodating their mistake, they simply picked up the pizzas and gave us credit which we could not use to reorder pizzas. Last time the pizza was cold and this time the crust was like cardboard. I won't be back. Additionally, the container for the pizza slice is cut is half so there is no covering so they offer a bag which is very messy. Lastly, they don't even input in the prices into the cash register so you have no idea what you were charged you just get a slip from the debit machine. This place is very unethical.
