PNW Halal Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Markham

Alright, so I decided to check out PNW for a pickup order. I'd seen a few negative reviews knocking about online, but honestly, they seemed a bit off the mark, because my experience has been consistently awesome.

Ordered the Steak and Canadian specialty pizzas – both seriously tasty and definitely a cut above your standard pizza offerings. They even sorted me out with a discounted Cheese Pizza once that someone else hadn't collected, and even that was fresh, warm, and perfectly cheesy.

But you have to try their wings! They're legitimately good, and the sauces are packed with flavor. BBQ and Honey Garlic are my personal champions – seriously, don't miss out. And it doesn't stop there: their Philly cheesesteaks are fantastic, and the spiced fries are pretty addictive too. Let's just say I've probably spent way too much money here, and I'm not even mad about it!

Pickup is always straightforward, and the staff are friendly, even when it's heaving. I've actually been in when school lets out, and the place is absolutely buzzing with kids from across the street. That alone tells you they must be doing a whole lot right to be that popular with the locals.

Considering the quality of everything, the prices feel totally fair. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving.

So, if you've been put off by any of those random harsh reviews, I'd genuinely say give PNW a try. You might find yourself as hooked as I am, and it could easily become your new regular spot for fantastic pizza, killer...

Update: June 29: The owner came back with a response to my review. As you can see from his response, they are very unprofessional and rude calling a customer "cheap". They lie saying I asked for extra cheese. Such liars I never asked for anything extra. Stop lies and improve your customer service. If you treat your customer so bad all customer will come to you with an attitude. I will never come to your store again and will not recommend it to anyone either. You lost a customer and with this rude behavior and ridiculous prices you will lose more! I hope that $14 made you richer! Very bad customer service. They charged me $14 for a medium pizza with only chicken topping. They are very rude and unprofessional. When I asked them why you charged me $14 for a medium pizza with one topping the guy told me it’s actually 3 topping cuz he counts cheese as a topping and chicken as 2 topping! They charged me $7 for the same size pizza with only cheese so it means they charge additional $7 for just chicken topping. This is ridiculous! Stay away from them! Their pizza doesn’t even...

I've ordered delivery (uber/doordash) from here, on two separate occasions.

The first occasion, the pizza was oily on the bottom for some reason, the dough was extra doughy, and the pizza, overall, lacked any sort of tomato sauce. It wasn't anything special.

Fast forward a year or more later, just last week, I gave them another chance and I've been regretting it ever since.

Some of the same issues mentioned above, persisted, amongst some new ones. Once again, the dough was extra thick for no reason and there's zero ounce or trace of tomato sauce. The pepperoni had hardened to the point that it was crunchy instead of soft.

The worst thing is, right after I finished eating, I immediately felt the urge to vomit. This was the only thing I had for dinner that day and it made me really sick to my stomach.

All this leads me to believe that either 1) the pizza was way overcooked, which would explain why the tomato sauce got dried out and why the pepperoni was hardened or 2) the pizza had been made prior to my order and then reheated when I ordered.
