Presotea — Restaurant in Markham

DO NOT RECOMMEND - I will be very clear that I don't like writing bad reviews as I am all about supporting businesses in my beloved city, but today's encounter made me angry. I was ordering a bbt this afternoon (June 12, 2022), the female cashier (looks to be in her late 20s or early 30s) who is Asian was EXTREMELY rude and exhibited condescending behaviour towards me.

Normally, you ask the customer if they want cold or hot, then the sugar/ice level if appropriate. She not only put in my order without asking me these highly relevant questions, but accused of me of not being clear after I requested for a change. In addition, when I complained about this, she had the audacity to accuse me of having low class, LOL. You kidding me right? I highly recommend you help this person improve her behaviour or risk losing more customers.

Drinks are good but customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I got a drink and accidentally dropped it and the cup cracked and spilled everywhere.

I went back to ask for a new one since that’s what anyone would do but the older lady kept refusing and said that it was my fault that I dropped it so if I wanted a new one, I would have to pay again. Or the best she could offer was to charge me the drink half off. What a joke. She kept bargaining and offering that she would charge me less than normal pricing. I understand she isn’t at fault but as a paying customer and someone who goes often, I’m just surprised at the lack of customer service and how she kept pointing the finger at me over something out of my control.

I don’t want to sound like I’m privileged but I feel like everywhere else would understand and just replace ONE drink. So stupid and honestly...

As a frequent bubble tea consumer, I was deeply saddened by the service this location has given me. At the start of this visit, I saw a promotion where when we liked and shared their page, we would receive a ring holder for our phone. As we have completed all of the steps, we went to the employee to receive our prize. However, the employee said to come back some other day with a very annoyed tone, which I took very offensively. Even though we purchased a drink, completed all the steps, we were greeted by the attitude the employee gave us. To me, I believe that is unacceptable.
