McDonald's — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

My wife and I frequent this location quite often as she does instacart and for the most part things are decent. But on this day(Feb 15, 2023), we entered the location at 10:56am and went directly to the kiosk to order our food. Breakfast was still available and that is what we ordered. Our order was completed on the kiosk at 10:59am. I went to use the washroom and while I was gone, the counter staff(Heather)started to loudly complain about the "late" breakfast order and made the accusation that the customer must have ordered from their phone and waited right until 10:59am to place the order. Upon hearing this my wife walked up to the counter and told Heather that if it was such a big deal then give us a refund and we'll be on our way. The refund was refused and my wife was very rudely told by Heather that it was fine we will just make the food. As a former McDonald's employee and manager(10 years)I find this extremely appalling and completely unacceptable...

We came here because it was in Walmart and we didn't want to make a second stop for dinner. We should have made a second stop for dinner. To start with, it took upwards of 15 minutes to get our order, which wasn't very big to begin with. There was definitely orders after ours that were waiting longer then we did. None of the food was very warm either like it had been sitting for a while. The soda machine didn't dispense any ice, and the soda that came out was warm. None of the tables appear to have been wiped, and there was food and garbage all over the floor. There were flies, literally everywhere. Coming out of the soda machine, the ketchup pump. At least every French fry or two, I was swatting a fly away from our table, food, or persons. And not one type of fly either. At one point, I think we counted 6 flies on the same table, not including the fruit flies that were swarming. I don't think I'll ever come back to...

I ordered the same menu just a day apart, but the burger was noticeably different. There's a Filipino lady working there, and whenever she handles my order, the portion seems smaller and she often leaves out the sauce. I always ask for extras, but it still doesn’t feel like enough when she prepares it. Because of that, I usually avoid ordering when I see she’s on duty.

This hasn’t just happened once or twice — it’s been a repeated issue, so I wanted to bring it to your attention.
