Yesterday Friday July 31, 2014. My family were at the Tony Roma's at 7:30 on Friday. We were greeted by a waitress and she told us that she will be our waitress for the evening. Another waitress (Robin) came right away and asked what we would like to drink. Well, Emily came 5 mins later and we told her that Robin already took care of the drinks for us. She said, "I will fix that I will be your waitress" She brought our drinks. We order our meals. She stated, after we start ordering bbq chicken. She said, "we don't have any more chicken" that was fine. We order ribs, prime rib, burger. 35 minutes later Emily came back and said, "your meal is being plated....your orders wasn't on the computer" No apology at all. She said, "I can start you of with potato soup if you like (on the house)" We waited another 30 minutes. Emily shows up with potatoes skin and said "we don't have any more soup left so I brought you potatoes skin....I don't particularly like potatoes skin but she never ask, it was her choice. I look around at the people that came in behind us ate and left the restaurant. We hope this was not a racism case because the manager was just as arrogant. We are level headed people and seldom do we complaint about anything in life. We have been greatly blessed. We were not look for a free meal...my husband is a Doctor and I have a very good job. The action of this waitress and manager was just unacceptable. We will not be going to this restaurant again. We only hope that people come to your restaurant will be treated with respect no matter who they are. We felt that this particular waitress need some training on how to treat people respectfully. When you tell your customers that all the food you ordered is gone and your neighboring tables are eating what you ordered...it is troubling. I hope this situation doesn't happen often in...
Read moreTo say we are disappointed is an understatement. Not sure if management is non-existent or if they just don’t care. If I had to take a guess it’d be the latter, the lack of respect and poor treatment we got was insane.
Came in around 6pm December 9th, there were quite a few people in the restaurant but we were seated by the nice hostess in a timely fashion. Wish I got our servers name so maybe he could get some proper training but alas. There were 5 of us and a kid, we got our drinks and our order taken within 5-10 minutes of sitting down, fast forward a half hour and we still have no food, a bus of 36 people comes in and sits down, food starts to come out of the kitchen and goes to the table of 36!!! We didn’t get any info of this as the server didn’t come to check on drinks or anything else in our 30 minute wait. Our server saw how upset we looked when food starting going to the big table and came over to tell us it wouldn’t be much longer and swiftly walked away before we could ask for more drinks.
I work in the restaurant industry and this is not how you treat customers, maybe Tony Romas picks and chooses, BAD BUSINESS!
When our food finally came the kids got theirs last (BAD BUSINESS). Plates were scalding hot, missing items, cold food. (Clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for way too long) Would not recommend getting a beer for your wait either as mine was flat with no head.
We probably would’ve had better luck going to a gas station for seafood.
As a Manager of a restaurant myself I know I’d like a detailed explanation if something went awry in my restaurant. Lots of cleaning up to do and training NEEDED for this place, wish I could give a 0 star.
Nothing was done but a 10% discount and the beer off my bill. Lack of management was shown, lack of training was shown, and lack of respect was shown. Stay Far Far Away...
Read more2 stars !!Saturday July 6, 2024 … Rodney gave great service and we were visiting with a freind who had chosen the restsurant so we didn’t bother to complain… as none of us wanted to ruin our visit… however .. when we got to the car… my husband asked how my meal was… I said I hope I dont get sick because my ribs were slimy and underdone… he said “ my ribs weren’t done either and my potato was stone cold” …. at that point our freind said the chicken in the alfredo was OVERcooked and rubbery… so disappointing . As a manager, if you respond to this; please do not suggest that we should have spoken to the waiter —this is where restaurants make the mistake —you have to get it right the first time—-we are out for a purpose— we were out for a visit ….we didn’t want to ruin the evening by complaining and having food taken off our table and then sitting there and waiting for more food to be brought out (which likely wouldn’t have been right if the first food wasn’t right) I’ve been reading other reviews and someone needs to go in there and get the kitchen back in line with your previous reputation … -my former review:
5 stars all around! … I called to make a reservation and the girl on the phone was friendly and positive… and apparently she wrote down everything I said because when we arrived our waiter said: “oh yes, you need a table to accommodate a walker and oxygen tank… we have two options for you … which do you prefer?” … he didn't forget lemon for the water .. he didn’t forget ‘light on the ice’ for our other friend’s pop… he returned to fill our wine… he recommended the best ribs ( bourbon was AMAZING)… the hostess was attentive and came to see if everything was great… seriously great team work but our waiter Duke...
