TLDR: Eat here, Food good. To you, wonderful human reading this, wondering what to eat tonight. Whether you live around here or from the next town over, you're just passing through and you're co-pilot, googling reviews to see your options. So I'm browsing Google maps "restaurants" filter over the area, and this place shows up, I click to look at the pictures and it looks like a food truck? I don't know. So I read more from other restaurants and I come back to clicking this one again. I'll be honest, in the area, there isn't much coice, when it comes to indian cuisine. The food was really good. Portions reasonable. Price fair. I'm not Indian, so I can't say if it's the best in the west, but it's definitely worth it. The guy loves to cook! <3 I tried a bit of everything. Everything was really good, the Naan, the chicken korma, the beef vindaloo, but I have this to say: "Wow the fish! Raj: The man, the chef, the legend!" Even though it's an outside terrace, old-school "chip-stand", it beats the often-too-pricey downtown restaurants. You gotta be fine with eating on a picnic table or take-away. (If you're reading this in winter, they might be closed for the season, I don't know, you might wanna call ahead.) My Only down-vote, wooden forks. :( 9.9/10 I'll definitely eating here again. <3 ❤️ Edit: So I've come back a 2nd time, and still absolutely loved everything. Again, the Fish, legendary! The calm yet animated corner terrace, just as you come into Merrickville, let's you enjoy a tasty meal without breaking the bank.

I tried the butter chicken dinner tonight and it was fantastic! Enough food for 2 people, comes with basmati rice, naan bread, a dessert, and a drink for only $20. I also love that there are other food options for my kids who aren’t into Indian food yet. They said the fries were just perfect! Looking forward to going back next week to try the beef vindaloo. It’s authentic, delicious, and very well priced!

I ordered a platter - Lamb curry special today was really good and had an authentic taste. It came with warm naan bread and light/ fluffy white rice. Also, the dessert was delicious. It is called a gulab jamun, it is a doughball fried then soaked in a simple syrup.... very delicious!! The service did not disappoint. There is deck seating and side seating on benches. Highly recommend to everyone.

Came by near close (ordered around 6:40) and was disappointed by our food.

Ordered the chicken strips and was surprised to find it tasted like frozen breaded ground chicken pieces. My poutine was swimming in an ocean of gravy; which is great if you like it saucy but I found it to be too much. Companion's BLT, which they asked for toasted, came out pale. When they asked the server said "thats what toasted looks like (though this may have just been because of the time they were unable to toast, it would have been appreciated if they just told us). The B of the BLT included a chunk of what seemed more like jerky than bacon that had to be removed, and the L was barely a piece of lettuce, but they were kind in giving extra lettuce when asked.

I wish there was a note on the menu that it was ground chicken, and to include more lettuce on a...

Amazing little spot along the highway. We were greeted like family. Best poutine gravy I’ve ever had! My fiancé had the samosa’s and chicken kofta. The platter comes with salad, rice and naan bread. He was full with left overs for lunch tomorrow! Highly recommend the Indian food and fries. We will definitely be making the trip to Merrickville again just for the Indian food, you can’t find authentic south Asian food like this even in the city. If you have the chance definitely make the stop. A good selection of Indian food also ( chicken kofta, butter chicken, alo gobi, channa masala, veg samosa and spring rolls ) they mentioned more was coming to the menu so I’ll be...
