Very nice coffee shop with lots of food options. I got the turkey, brie and cranberry panini and coffee. The sandwich was very good. A bit cold in the middle but that was made up for with how it tasted. The turkey was very juicy and not dry at all, and the combo of brie and cranberry with it was delicious. Service was friendly. Lots of seating available but I went on a chilly day in April, I am sure it gets busy during the summer months.

Nice little cafe in Merrickville. We have only tried the coffee so far, an espresso, latte and cappuccino. All were very good, a distinct flavour without being overpowering, really well balanced and prepared. They also have a selection of sandwiches, soups, breakfast including omelettes, sweets, etc. Service has been friendly and efficient. Will be back next time we’re in town.

What a fantastic little spot! Stopped by here as they were mentioned on the Fresh Baked Adventures. I had the carrot cake and pumpkin spice latte. The cake was very dense and flavourful. The coffee was sweet but not overly so. While a bit on the pricier side, I would definitely come back and recommend for a treat!

Ordered a couple lattes… Paid top dollar for a half cup of foam. We sat for a few minutes, and watched the person working, go repeatedly back and forth from cash to food prep …without washing their hands once. The food prep area was not wiped between orders and the same knife was used repeatedly. Espresso drink, after drink after drink was made without ONCE cleaning the portafilter/basket or milk frothing pitcher. Milk and dairy products were left out, unrefrigerated. ew I understand that times get busy and line ups add pressure - but at no time should that trump food safety standards. Needless to say, after seeing what we did that day, we elected to toss our frothy concoctions and move it on...

Fantastic service today and very well made cappuccino coffees (that's a big compliment from we self-confessed Australian coffee snobs!)... This is a lovely wee café with nice additional outdoor seating; we really enjoyed very generous serves of carrot cake with yummy frosting (even though my darling husband dropped the first servings as he opened the door for in-going customers!). Not an issue however, as the charming Barista, with a smile and a fun quip, replaced and tidied up the mess... that's excellent customer service!...

My Grandmother used to take me to The Bean all the time for breakfast and we grew to love the place, the people, and the food. I stopped in last week to grab some treats to bring to work and early in the morning I was greeted by a kind man who was quick to grab me all the goodies I had asked for. I tried out the handmade peanut butter cups and the cinnamon buns and they are both absolutely delicious! Love love love and will be getting them...
