Harvey's — Restaurant in Midland

Been to midland location twice. I am a Harvey's food chain fan but this specific location is terrible. Both experiences had problems. First experience had me get the wrong toppings on burger that I ordered and old fries. This I can forgive as I went through drive through and let's face it sometimes mistakes happen. The more recent experience is what will make me never go back to this location. The fries were foul, to the point of almost being inedible. They were hot and seemed fresh but upon taste there was something clearly wrong as they tasted like a dirty fridge/freezer. Also the burger itself was terrible. The toppings were right this time but the bun was so hard that u mistook it for stale before realizing that it was just severely dried out from trying to crisp it. The burger itself was burnt and dry with zero moisture at all. Basically felt like they had made a ton of burgers and just let them sit there and go stale and dry as well instead of cooking to order as food should be made. Come on Harvey's, I know your a fast food chain but that does not dismiss you from the responsibility of serving a edible product that was made with a fraction of some care and common sense. They often get my order wrong when I go here. Today I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch, everything on it, a poutine and diet Pepsi. During ordering, the lady taking my order interupted me twice asking if "that was everything" clearly not listening to what im acctually ordering. I asked if I could get ketchup in the bag when ordering and they told me to ask at the window. I drove to the window, asked for ketchup in the bag. I recieved my order with nothing on the chicken burger and of course, no ketchup. I only write this review because this has happened a few times now when coming here. This is an update to my previous review several months ago. It just keeps getting better and better! I know most of the staff as I am there frequently and they are all amazing with special mention to Julie who is the best of the best!!!! The minute Julie sees me entering the door she knows what I want and starts working on it. The staff always asks how my wife and puppy are doing and often give the puppy a treat if I bring her in. I can’t say enough good things about all of the fabulous staff. This is the best Harvey’s - Swiss Chalet for sure!!!
