Recently we got to a restaurant just before 6:00 p.m. was told there was a half hour wait and they will call me instead I got a text and they still served people that just walked in ahead of the two of us. We order drinks one was tasteless tasted like mild fruit and water. I ordered salmon and rice, my wife ordered chicken fingers and soup the food come over 1 hour later. Really can't understand that because it takes no time to cook fish, soup is probably made already and chicken fingers also very quick quick to cook. They offer a 20% discount but still I can't understand why it took so long to cook food that shouldn't take much time to make hell my vegetables where very undercooked and it wasn't like the restaurant was super busy. Anyway we ordered dessert to go was supposed to come with ice cream no ice cream was box when we got to back to the hotel. Previously I made a online order at the same location in Midland the two girls at the front asked for my name about seven times then the restaurant manager came out and told me they did not receive my online order? I had to show them what I ordered on my phone and that it was paid for. I then I had to wait 45 minutes for the food to be cooked. As I was leaving one of the girls ran out to my car and said are and said my name, the same girl that asked me my name over and over when I got to the restaurant she said I just got an online order was making sure it wasn't for you.
Don't know what's going on with this Kelsey in Midland but lately the service has been terrible the girls at the door have no clue what they are doing and don't listen to customers my wife started talking to them and they looked at me can't find online orders and can't find tables for 2 people and if the food is not coming for customers fast enough the waiters should be on kitchen to get the food out to the customer ASAP not a hour later. As for food it seems to be either way overly seasoned with pepper or completely under season and tasteless doesn't seem to be a standard. Vegetables were still hard very undercooked so cold butter will not melt. I appreciate 20% percent off but it wasn't enough it was an absolutely terrible night out at Kelsey's and they shouldn't have to give a 20% discount just do it right the first time and not make the customer suffer waiting over an hour...

As a amateur food critic and blogger it’s my estimation that he is a prime candidate to move up in the ranks. HOWEVER , new manager Sarah ( previous front of house) is just NOT utilizing the skills and knowledge critical to her new role. Appetizers listed no longer available but the worst mistake made was to have her server relay to me that opting out of the sides in favour of having my chicken sandwich al a carte would still result in a cost of 3.50 or so equal to the cost of the sides despite not wanting them. Really? This is not at all good customer service provision. . We ordered 2 meals / drinks / coffee and dessert and refusal to deduct the cost of the sides would have been zero cost to Kelsey,s. Instead a very poor feeling was left with me. I will hesitate to return given the lack of interest or care towards the customer all over 3.50. Attention to detail in the kitchen is also an issue. The churros / n ice cream were far too greasy and overdone and came with not a scoop but a tablespoon of ice cream. If the kitchen manager is lacking, it trickles down to all other staff.
