My family of 8 came in on August 10th. We were celebrating my nieces 10th birthday. My husband and I frequent a Stacked in Whitby so we were confident we could bring the family and enjoy. Unfortunately our experience was not great. We were separated into two tables which we completely understand but our waitress refused to serve us together. Even after being told we were all together on one bill. My husband and brother in-law were served way before us. Actually finished food 15 minutes prior to our table. Honestly I am always more then fair with staff but our waitress was absolutely awful. She was so rude and would answer our questions with I don't know. I don't work Tuesdays. I guess so if it says it on the menu. My three year old would say thank you when she served us and she would just stare at him. No response. Incredibly rude!! Our pancakes were good. Bacon was burned. Waitress wouldn't get a lid for my sons drink. Again we frequently go to other Stacked so I know kids drinks are served with a lid. And should be! She was dismissive and honestly ruined our experience. My three year old asked me why she ignores us. Even he picked up on her rudeness. I believe it was the owner who originally sat us. Read moreThe food isn't bad but the customer service is not good. I live out of town and ordered for pickup. When I got home I realized they had one of the meals in my order completely wrong. I live too far away to go back, have them remake the meal correctly then go home again so I reached out via e-mail (as their website says to do) and asked if there was a way to receive credit for a correct order in the future - whether or not this is something they were willing to do isn't what I take issue with. The larger issue is that I never received a response - no apology or anything. There are so many restaurants out there - I'd say go somewhere that values their customers more and cares about their experience.
Edit: The e-mail address the owner gave me to reply to did not work and the e-mail bounced back. I e-mailed their 'info' e-mail and will update if/when my concerns...
Read moreArrived this morning in anticipation of a few minutes wait, no big deal really because we know on a long weekend things get busy and sometimes just plain nuts however, not the case for low rating. It smelled great, people were eating enjoying their food and we were in line awaiting some sort of recognition and there was nothing... 1 family of 8 ahead of us acknowledged and seated, then my son and I disregarded, 2 Door Dash people squeezed through the line and were accommodated and still we were ignored. The family behind us were then accommodated and we were left...no hello, no nothing... immediate decision to leave. We're local and love to support local but when blatantly ignored we just don't see the point.
