Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Milton

For reference I've eaten at Shoeless Joes several times. This was, however, the first time at this location. Although the servers were nice, we aren't quite sure what we just ate. Sure, they checked on us, but the reality is a lot of this had to do with the questionable ingredients used and their freshness. My child had a cheeseburger from the kids menu. The cheese looked like random bits of a broken-up half slice of something that didn't quite resemble cheddar. The adults ordered the Philly cheesesteak and the salmon bowl; both entrees which we have previously eaten more than once. The salmon bowl had a strange filet of salmon with a questionable, overly processed, fake taste and there was a blob of fake avocado paste which tasted overly lemony. This bowl always comes with FRESH avocado pieces and fresh grilled salmon chunks. The rice was almost non-existent, barely coating the bottom of the bowl (I usually feel very full after this dish) and it was severely overcooked. The cheesesteak was NOT a Philly cheesesteak, but instead a flattened piece of meat thrown into a bun with the non typical cheesesteak toppings. We had stopped here on our way home from a long drive, with an overtired, hungry child & didn't have the time to leave and go elsewhere. I've now arrived home feeling completely sick to my stomach. As a franchise or chain, they really shouldn't be taking that many liberties with putting a cheap spin on menu items. Patrons grow accustomed to a certain standard of a meal & I feel very strongly that that standard was nowhere near met today. We feel as though we paid quite a bit of money for underwhelming meals, with their version of ingredients & preperation. You can't corners that obviously and expect people won't be upset by it. We arrived at 11pm and service was slow, to even be seated the hostess prefers to talk to the people in the back rather then look for new people waiting for a table. Once seated our server took a little under 10minutes to get drink orders And little over 5 minutes to bring is our drinks. We ordered deep fried pickles, a Nashville fried chicken sandwich and buffalo chicken warp. The pickles came 15 minutes later a little over done and warm... It came with ranch that had left under a heat lamp too long as it had soured and built up a crust. The actual food took another 20 minutes to arrive once it had gotten to the chicken tenders in the wrap were cold. And lacked sauces of any sort. The sandwich i got lack sauce as well and toppings, our sides were fries, now i have have been to many restaurants and worked in a few as well and we were served refried fries that under heat lamp and had soaked up all the oils in the fries. And we were told thats normally how they come.

The manager did comp the meal for us and offered us dessert but we had just an awful experience and was late and had a long drive back to Cambridge we would give the place another chance if we were closer but with the price of gas its not worth the money atm. Went with my friends on a nice Sunday. We wanted to sit in the patio, we were told by two servers that we couldn’t seat in the patio because they had a reservation for 16 ppl for the patio (I really don’t remember the exact number) we didn’t made a big fuzz and we sat inside. No one came to our table for more than 10 minutes finally one of the managers came, she apologized and took our order, we still kept calm didn’t complained as she was very nice. She took a little long but she finally brought our drinks, and later our food. We started eating and time went by, but my husband kept noticing new customers passing by our table and being able to sit in the patio. Finally after a half hour he complained to the manager and asked her why other people were able to sit in the patio while we were denied to sit out there. She said if she had know we wanted to sit out there she would have given us a table, we explained what happened when we got there, and the whole situation was upsetting. There was another manager there that evening and she was very nice and apologetic, they tried their best to make us happy and that is the only reason why I gave the place 2 stars.
