I've been to the Stoney Creek location with my friend, loved the food, and loved the service there. Came to this location with my parents, excited to introduce this to them since I loved the other location. Lots of empty seats since we came early, 8am-ish Sunday morning. Took some time to get a seat, then took even longer to get our orders. We tried to pass off slow service for the low number of staff - but servers would either hide in the kitchen or chat up other tables. One man even offered us a coffee refill but then completely ignored my father when he said "yes please" and walked off without serving us any! Tried to give him a chance since I didn't hear my father either, but my mom and I were watching videos on my phone - the server doesn't have that excuse. There were three of us at the table and each one of us had to ask our server for a coffee refill, at separate times, for us to be served. When the food arrived I noticed parts of my napkin holding my utensils stuck to the table. Looked as if maple syrup spilled a bit and my napkin got stuck to it. Doesn't look like tables are cleaned properly. Brushed this off again since it was just a little thing, my utensils weren't touching the table and they at least looked clean. That being said, the man who ignored my father was following my server while she was bring our table our food. He wasn't helping her carry any of the three big and full plates, even though he wasn't holding anything. He almost didn't give our server the chance to ask if we needed anything else after she put our plates down! Luckily she did take the moment to ask us which we do appreciate. It came to a point where I had tried multiple times to grab our server's attention for the bill - and she decided to have a conversation with customers who were already on their way out the door! Fed up, I decided to just say out loud "I just want to pay my bill" as she was passing by. She had only come over with the bill after I had put my wallet on the table, and gave the machine to my father instead of myself. Maybe because she could tell at this point she would not have gotten a tip from me. She did try to make conversation while she was at our table but this experience was past saving unfortunately. The same man who decided to not refill our coffees started to clear out our dishes without even acknowledging anyone at the table, only saying excuse me because he tried to reach for farther plates. We didn't even know why he was clearing our table since we were still trying to clean up and gather our things. My father was still putting our to-go bag together (we had ordered some takeout for a family member who slept in, and we had to pack some food since the portions were huge). It's a shame because the food was good and the restaurant itself was cute. All the little things really add up to an overall bad experience. I don't review often, and usually only like to leave reviews if I really loved a place - but I've never been given this type of service. Hopefully this review will get the servers the right training they need to treat ALL their customers fairly and respectfully. Respectfully, if I ever want their food again I'd rather spend the gas going to a different location, won't be giving this specific spot...

My wife has had positive experiences during her previous two visits to this establishment, and this was my first time accompanying her. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was quite busy, with several servers actively working the floor. Like any breakfast establishment, we expected a quick and efficient experience.
We were seated promptly, and shortly after, a server approached us, informing us that she would be attending to us shortly. However, another server (Server #2) arrived within a couple of minutes, stating that she would be taking care of us, and proceeded to take our order. We requested the two eggs express, prepared like an omelette, along with coffee and water. She explained that the eggs could be made over hard, which was acceptable to us.
In a short time, a third individual (Server #3) brought our plates, but the eggs were prepared over easy rather than over hard. We informed her of the mistake, and she promptly took the plates back, leaving the bread behind. After a few minutes, she returned to apologize for the mix-up and took the bread as well. At this point, we kindly reminded her about the coffee and water, and she assured us she would check on it immediately.
Several minutes passed without the drinks being served, so we approached another staff member, who appeared to be a floor manager (Server #4), and inquired about the status of our beverages. She responded politely and said she would follow up. Despite this, more time passed, and we were still without coffee or water. We then approached the server who had taken our order (Server #2), and again she promised to check and get back to us.
By this time, we were increasingly frustrated, especially seeing other tables around us being promptly served. There was still no update on our coffee, water, or the status of our food. After several more minutes without any progress, we decided to cancel our order and leave. We informed the floor manager (Server #4) of our decision, citing the excessive wait time for even the simplest request—coffee and water.
While I understand that restaurants can be busy and that food preparation can take time, the lack of communication and coordination between the staff members was concerning. A breakfast establishment is expected to provide timely service, especially when it comes to beverages. Had we received our drinks promptly, we would have been more than willing to wait for the meal. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, leading to a...
Read moreWe visited this location today in Milton. The food was good but the service was extremely poor. We arrived and got seated. Menus took a while to be placed on the table at least 10 min. Other ppl came in after us in about 15 min… they were seated and menus were given and their orders were taken fast. Which I didn’t understand usually ppl who are seated first are asked if they are ready for their order to be taken but that wasn’t the case. When we asked she said “it’s how the sequence is that I took orders in” we were like but we were here first our order should have been already taken.
Anyways…We were still waiting …and waiting and waiting just for someone to come and take our order… until we mentioned something. Then someone came to take our order. Everyone who came in after us got their food and they were eating some even finished and we were still waiting on our food and some got their food before we even ordered.
We had a toddler who was also getting restless. As others came in with kids and got seated they were automatically given crayons and coloring sheets to color. Our toddler was not given anything. Food came at least after an hour or more of us coming in. We asked the server why it took so long she didn’t seem too happy we were questioning it.
Some of our food came except for pancakes we ordered and my husband’s side of toast didn’t come with his food. We asked for it and she said I’ll go get it . She went around taking other orders and the bread came after 20 min. My husband got irritated because now his food got cold waiting on the 2 slices of bread wondering why it takes forever to get toast…
Anyways can’t help but think that I was the only one wearing a hijab in the place. Don’t like to think that’s the reason the service was bad. I really hope not. But we definitely felt ignored as others were helped extremely fast. And I can see the server popping up on other tables to make sure all is good and asking them if they need anything. Except ours ….until she noticed we’re were starting to get annoyed with the service.
I never leave reviews for anything this is my first time….but I was upset about the service and I had too. My husband also who always leaves amazing tips because we appreciate all the hard work and good food at restaurants was too upset to even leave a tip. And that never happened before. I don’t think we will visit this...
