Yummy House Restaurant — Restaurant in Mission

Not the greatest Chinese food. Our usual place was closed on Monday so we gave this one a try. The prices were much lower than other places. We were looking for a bargain but now we see you get what you pay for.

The food tasted like curry. I don't know if it's intentionally added. Is this a fusion restaurant? Or is it cross-contamination? I like Curry but not in my Chinese food. It was a real turn off. Some of my family members refuse to eat it because of this.

The Chow Mein noodles are not edible. They were so soggy. No one liked them. Really gummy. And they were cut into 2 inch pieces. Who does this. I like long proper noodles. I don't like having it cut up like it's for a baby.

Almond chicken was ok but nothing special.

Honey garlic pork was good.

BBQ pork fried rice had gnarly bits of fat instead of meat. The bits weren't edible. It was nasty. This dish also had heavy Indian seasoning. Again, not sure if this was intentional or if they don't wash their dishes well and there is some cross-contamination. My family hated the rice.

Beef chop suey. Very gnarly meat. Had to spit it out.

Ginger beef. Really, really mushy. So unappealing. Isn't Ginger beef supposed to be crispy?

Wonton soup. Had a very weird taste. Did not like the broth. Whatever the ingredient was it was overpowering.

Spring Rolls tasted odd. Family wouldn't eat them after...

Tried to order from Yummy House, issues started with their website which does not load, regardless of my internet and cell service being fine.

I began my order without issue, but tried to grab some chicken strips and fries and was laughed at by the woman taking my order.

“We don’t have chicken strips and fries here, we’re a Chinese restaurant” she laughed at me. Well, it’s on your menu. “No it’s not”

“Yes it is, I am looking at it right now…”

She yells to someone else who says “it’s old”

I ask, well where can I find the up to date menu, am laughed at again.

I proceed to ask about their combo dinners, since the menu is the great unknown. Order a combo, and then she says I should have my order ready next time.

Told her to go ahead and cancel that order, there won’t be a next time.

Incredibly rude, completely unaware.

You’ll see I don’t leave reviews, but this was atrocious service and I won’t ever give this place my money

Total time of call was 4 minutes. I did know what I wanted but was incredibly thrown by being laughed at.

Menu and...

Really upset I USE to come here 2 times a week until last night ..we had a family gathering for my sister's 39th birthday witch including 9 kids so we thought ordering take out at 5pm eat by 6 we ordered dinner for 8 they told us it would be here at 6:30 latest at 6:45 we called to see where the food was they said it was on its way we called at 7 they now said they were waiting for 1 more item after they had already said it was on its way .. we then called at 7:15 asking where our food was kids are getting super hungry and it was almost there bed time we asked for discount they said they would give us 10% off finally at 7:30 food showed up with the total amount of $135 and no discount we called them and they said the 10% will be off our next bill 🙄 no that's not right it should have been off this one that we waited for 2 1/2 hrs for and payed $135 not when I go for my lunch for $20 .....so disappointed this...
