Bulk Barn — Restaurant in Mississauga

I used to love going there, but yesterday I had a rude awakening. It was clearly demonstrated to me by an employee that they are not there for the customer but for them selves. An employee Alia was stocking shelf, and was holding a cardboard box perfect for my mailing needs. I asked if I may have it. While holding it in her hand she looked at me and cut it, saying " I cut it". I said I can tape it...she did not put it on the pile of cut up boxes but took it in the back. I was dumbfounded, speechless. An other young lady, quickly acting to de- escalate the situation, saying you can have my box ( which was too big). When Alia returned and ignored the fact that I was still there.. I asked, " why would you not give me that box" ? Truly trying to understand the situation..she said " I'm sorry, what more do you want"...rude as they come.

This is the problem of people being put in the jobs not fit to preform. People with no people skills, should be either trained better or be in a different position.

As this my seem a small incident it left me with a bad feeling and not only will I not go back, but I will tell all my experience, every time I pass by, I will think of...

I used to buy a lot here, used to be good and reliable but when the manager and employees do not care about clients, the business will not survive, better move to other sources. When you have empty shelves Friday morning 2 days before Christmas something is wrong, head office or local management made a big mistake.

Sugar, dates and figs are really difficult items to get from the back of the store and load the shelves.

I gotta give a huge shoutout to this awesome young tiny tan lady at BulkBarn. She was super friendly and helpful, even on a crazy busy Sunday. She helped me out with making cake boxes all with a smile on her face! Seriously, her positive attitude made my day. Huge thanks to her and the BulkBarn team for the top-notch service. Can't wait to swing...
