I first would like to add my experience was atbthe beginning of October.
I donât usually write negative reviews, especially for local establishments Iâve supported in the past â but this experience was unacceptable. The service we received was beyond poor. Our server, a woman with bleached blonde hair and a "valley girl" demeanor, should of had Chariots of fire playing in the back ground, got our drink order wrong â not a huge issue in itself â but things continued to go downhill from there. We clearly stated we wanted to start with the bruschetta as an appetizer. After placing our order, she assured us it would only be a few more minutes. Instead, about 15 minutes later, she brought out our main courses â with no appetizer in sight. When we asked about it, she casually brought it out and gave us the option to send our mains back so we could eat the appetizer first. We declined and told her to just give it to the staff instead. She offered to box the food instead and take it home which is senseless asit would be soggy and we are not lookkng for anythjng free.. just a nice dinner..She said sheâd let the manager know. What followed was equally disappointing. The manager â who Iâve seen often behind the bar or dessert counter â came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder, and asked, âAre you okay?â I said yes just to avoid a scene, and then he tapped me again before walking off. No proper introduction. No apology. No real acknowledgment of the situation. A good manager would come to the table, introduce themselves, and take responsibility â not casually check in like itâs an afterthought while socializing with other tables. Frankly, it felt like he was more interested in stroking up certain customers than managing the dining room. Iâve been here a few times before, and the chefs consistently do a good job with the food. Unfortunately, the front-of-house service â especially from management â has taken a serious dive. I wonât be returning, and Iâll be sharing my experience with...
Read moreI donât usually write reviews, especially negative ones, since I know bad days happen. But after such a terrible experience here, I felt compelled. Honestly, I was shocked to see this place rated 4.4 stars.
First red flag: the prices online are a bait-and-switch... They are significantly lower than whatâs charged in the restaurant. When we brought this up, our waitress laughed it off, which was not only dismissive but unprofessional. We should have taken that as our cue to leave.
The food itself was okay, but nowhere near worth the inflated prices. Then my husband bit into an olive pit in his pizza and nearly chipped a tooth. Instead of handling it seriously, the waitress laughed again, and only gave a half-hearted apology once she realized we werenât joking. The pizza was removed from the bill only because we insisted. No manager came over, no accountability, no effort to make things right.
Between the inaccurate pricing, careless service, and complete lack of accountability for a potential safety issue, this restaurant fell far below even the most basic standards. We will not return and cannot recommend this...
Read moreI recently visited your restaurant and ordered two iced coffees. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disheartening. The staff member who served me made me feel intimidated by repeatedly demanding, "What do you want?" Usually, when I visited Carlos Bakery before it became Lagos, they never asked, so it took me a moment to respond. Instead of informing me about the milk or syrup options, she continued to repeat the question rudely.
When I mentioned that they don't usually ask, she curtly replied, "We are new staff and just have the machine, and I don't drink coffee, so I don't know what you want." Paying $6 each for iced coffees made by someone who doesn't know how to make coffee is unacceptable.
My husband and I left feeling deeply disappointed. While it's understandable that new staff might need time to learn, there's no excuse for rudeness. I urge you to review the security footage to identify the staff member and take appropriate action.
Thank you for your attention to...
