The Port Credit Lighthouse is a lovely and peaceful place to visit in Mississauga. Although it’s not a traditional old lighthouse, this modern replica has become a well-known landmark in the area. It’s located right by the Credit River, where it meets Lake Ontario, and the views are beautiful especially during sunset.

The area around the lighthouse is clean and well-maintained. There’s a walking path along the waterfront, benches to relax, and you can often hear live music or see people enjoying the evening. It’s a perfect spot for a quiet walk, photography, or just taking in the calm lake breeze.

There are plenty of cafés, ice cream shops, and small restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to spend an hour or two here. The lighthouse also lights up at night and during festivals, which makes the place even more charming.

Parking is available nearby (some paid), and it’s easy to reach by foot, bike, or car. Weekends can get a bit crowded, so a weekday visit is more peaceful.

Overall, the Port Credit Lighthouse is a small but beautiful place to unwind, watch the water, and enjoy a relaxing break...

Always a fantastic experience on the boardwalk here Great pictures to be had with the lighthouse as background and walking all the way to the end of the pier One gets a great view over an expanse of water however... The amount of encrusted bird excrement all over the railings and wood of the boardwalk make it really difficult to bring younger kids or really anyone who might be afraid of toxoplasmosis to the area

I would highly recommend an evening stroll along the Port Walk here and, with parking available in the evenings, I would suggest that it's a pretty great place for an active stroll... Not my first choice for a picnic or anything where you want to spend time in one spot, but definitely...

Its a good place to visit. It is a pumping station now with ofcourse a functioning lighthouse. I guess the original structure was destroyed way back when and this is a replacement. It is as with many attractions, the images and the reality is usually different. Same was with this, for me at least. A light house is usually this big stand alone building where the land ends. Not this though, its tiny and small but still beautiful and in the middle of the main street Port Credit next to a Starbucks, still a positive thing. All in all, good place to hang out with coffee and a...
