I don't know what's happened in the last few months, but this place has completely gone downhill. This used to be my favorite location with friendly and efficient staff, and I can understand if the team has an off day here and there, but our past few experiences here have been an absolute chaotic mess.
Our food is never ready when we get the notification saying that our order is ready for pickup. In fact, the staff actually don't even start making our food until we arrive and ask them where our order is.
Because they only fire up our orders when we arrive, our food ends up being a rushed, overcooked or undercooked, slapped-together mess that barely holds together.
They messed up our order to the extent that we legitimately thought we'd been mistakenly given someone else's, if not for the receipt that confirmed it was ours. We paid extra for guacamole but they got the dipping sauces wrong on every order - and not a single one had guacamole in it. They got the protein wrong (beef instead of chicken) on another and also mixed up the toppings between two orders. We ordered chips and dip, which they neglected to give us. Luckily we noticed right before we left and had to go back in to ask for it - and then we got home and realized they didn't give us guacamole on that either.
The staff members don't seem to work well together. Constantly yelling over each other, lack of organization, poor maintenance (dirty tables, overflowing garbage, etc.), and an overall atmosphere of filth/chaos in the restaurant no matter how busy or empty it is - it's no surprise that this translates directly into poor customer service and disappointing food.
After having multiple last minute and messed up orders, we've finally given up on this location. I really hope that it goes back to the way it was but there is no point in putting up with such terrible service when there are a million other burrito options and other Burrito Boyz...
Read moreI had such a disappointing experience at the Burrito Boyz outlet at 3100 Winston Churchill, and honestly, I’m still feeling frustrated and let down. I’ve been a loyal customer of Burrito Boyz for years, but my visit this time was ruined by an employee named Vaishnavi. When I ordered my usual burrito, I was shocked at how thin it was—so thin, it felt more like a rolled-up tortilla than a proper burrito. I kept looking at it, wondering if this was some kind of mistake. It was thinner than a spring roll, and I couldn’t believe I was actually handed something so skimpy.
When I politely asked Vaishnavi if she could add a little more to make it a proper burrito—something that actually felt worth the price—her response was beyond disappointing. Instead of addressing the issue with a bit of understanding, she immediately pushed back with a rude and dismissive tone, telling me I’d have to pay extra. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the principle—why should I pay more just to get a burrito that isn’t paper-thin?
I’ve visited other Burrito Boyz locations countless times and never had this issue before. They always serve burritos that are filling and satisfying, but this? This felt like an insult. It’s really upsetting when you come in expecting a nice meal and instead leave feeling like you were shortchanged and disrespected.
Vaishnavi’s attitude and unwillingness to make things right just made the whole experience worse. It’s not just about the food—it’s about how you treat your customers. I left feeling completely dejected and disappointed, and honestly, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location again. I really hope the management takes this seriously because experiences like this can ruin a brand’s...
Read moreI will never ever spend money at another burrito boys again after the consistently bad experiences I have had at this location. First of all, no one making the burrito ever checks to see if you have paid for extras such as cheese or guacamole, and when you ask for extra cheese they give you no more than a tablespoon (this is actually the ONLY location that does not give you a decent amount of cheese). On several occasions I have paid for extra meat only to get home to find out it was never added. On another occasion I clearly ordered 3 items only to be handed two, one of which had again, the wrong amount of protein which they charged me for and God knows whatever else when I clearly saw the cashier add it to my bill as I paid. One of the associates even had the audacity to tell me that I hadn’t ordered what I was questioning in an extremely rude accusatory manner in a crowd of customers. When the cashier came to see what was going on she verified that indeed I had ordered the item in question. This was highly confusing as I SAW HER PUNCH IT INTO THE ORDER I PAID FOR(37.00)!! All while the useless manager stood there with his mouth open like a moron with no apologies or compensation. When I called to find out when the owner would be available to speak with regarding this experience I was told they were out of country and that I was speaking with the manager. I explained the story and I have still not heard anything. I have been a long time customer at Burrito Boyz but after these experiences I will NEVER spend a dime there again. I will also encourage others to...
