TLDR : Proper Authentic food with exceptional staff
I first found this place off the recommendation for a friend. I have been a fan now for about 5 years.
The food is some of the best I have ever had outside of the Caribbean. In fact it is some of the best I have had even when compared to places in the Caribbean.
I personally recommend any of the curry with a roti. The Fried Rice is also really good. If you have never had one before, try a Carib or red stripe beer. Also ask about the "lunch special".
This is a nice social spot with billiards/pool available. There are tables for in house dining, a bar area but no outdoor space.You can also order takeaway.
Something to be mindful of. All of the food is made fresh and made to order. If you are hungry, be prepared to wait. This is a restaurant, not a fast food spot. if you are looking for a quick bite, my best recommendation is to call ahead to place your order for pickup.

They have a huge sign on Tomken Road, that was what brought my attention. The establishment is located in a industrial plaza with plenty of parking. When I walked in I was thinking of turning right around. The atmosphere is unimpressive, dark and gloomy.
The service by the waitress/bartender was phenomenal. I had went in at a peak time during lunch. Lunch was extremely busy, the waitress was patient, friendly and quick. Which allowed her to handle the take-out and dine in rush tremendously.
The Owner was present during that time, he did do anything to assist his employee... I finally had received my lunch 20 minutes later. The portions were great, flavor was authentic and the price is inexpensive. Definitely worth the cost

Worst “Caribbean” Restaurant EVER!
Was previously warned about this place but wanted to try anyway. Bad mistake.
Walked in to buy 1 doubles and 1 potato ball. My order took half hour. When I asked for my money back (my lunch time was almost up) they conveniently got my food.
The owner told me they are not a factory doubles and make the food fresh. When I questioned whether it should take half hour to make ONE DOUBLES he told me to shut my mouth.
DO NO WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!! ATTITUDE WAS ALMOST AS BAD AS SERVICE.
Waitress was playing with my bag when I got upset and didn’t want to give me my food. She was awful and talked on the phone most of the time.
