This place and food is amazing.
Let’s start with basics, Chai Paratha Thali. It is reasonably priced and well balanced for what it offers. You cannot go wrong with this Thali combo at all.
Next is Nehari. I have been to Many many places and have eaten Nehari from every shop in Toronto. Their Nehari is very subtle, not overloaded with extreme amount of spices like many others and they do not use any packet Masalas either, which makes the taste of their Nehari better than rest. Portion size is very generous but it is a bit pricey.
Naan, their fresh Naan along with Fresh Nehari increases to taste to next level. You cannot beat the freshness when you have to wait for Naan to cool down a bit.
Lamb Chops. Their lamb chops are the best and you must try it. The level of spices are balanced that it gives you the taste of meat instead of masala, which is how lamb chops should be made.
Reshmi Kabab. I am not a fan of Chicken Kabab but man o man was I wrong about my perception after taking the first bite. Finished the Kabab instantly and best kept secret was to take the Kebab with Naan and dip it in Nehari to get the best of all three worlds.
Matka style chai, although I like the Chai and Nehari from their other location but their chai did not disappoint me at all.
Paratha, this location offers two different parathas so make sure to order the Laccha (layered) Paratha. Dip that paratha bite in your tea and you will feel like in heaven.
Qeema, you need to order Karahi Qeema with Paratha or order that thali which comes with both. Their Karahi Qeema and its taste with Paratha just takes me back to my childhood when my mother used to cook Qeema Paratha for Sehri.
All in All, you cannot go wrong with any of their dish. Plenty of Parking available like the other location. Ambiance is very nice as you can see from pictures and they also have a party room for 40 individuals.
I highly recommended this place for authentic Karachi style taste and experience.
P.S. please don’t ask and expect deep fried poori paratha at any of their location. What they have is authentic Karachi/Quetta style Paratha and Chai
I will be visiting this location again for more authentic taste and some more dishes that I...

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed warmly by Mr. Tahir and his team, whose hospitality set the tone for a truly enjoyable evening.
The star of the night for me was the Muguz Nihari. I’ve tried Nihari at many places, but this one stood out instantly rich, aromatic, and layered with flavors that lingered in the best way possible. It was comfort food elevated to another level, and I can honestly say I’ve never tasted Nihari this good before.
Next up was the Chicken Tikka, and it was nothing short of perfection. Juicy, tender, and charred just right, it had that smoky depth of flavor that only well-marinated and perfectly cooked tikka can deliver. Pairing it with their Til ki Naan was a game changer soft, fresh, and carrying just the right nutty crunch from the sesame seeds.
Of course, no meal is complete without something sweet, and this is where Chai Paratha Express truly shines. I indulged first in their Special Malai Rabri, which was creamy, rich, and beautifully balanced the kind of dessert that makes you slow down and savor every bite. But the highlight on the dessert side was their Kulfa. Smooth, nutty, and perfectly chilled, it struck the right balance of sweetness and creaminess. Every spoonful brought back that nostalgic, traditional taste that you rarely find done this well.
What tied the whole experience together was the hospitality and genuine care shown by Mr. Tahir and the staff. They don’t just serve food here but they create an atmosphere that makes you feel valued and welcomed.
All in all, Chai Paratha Express delivered on every front exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a memorable dining experience. For anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors that touch the soul, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again from Barrie, and I can’t wait to explore even more...
Read moreThere’s something magical about brunch when it’s done right — and Chai Paratha doesn’t just do it right, it elevates the experience with heart, heritage, and hospitality. Tucked into the city’s growing tapestry of multicultural cuisine, Chai Paratha is a love letter to traditional Pakistani breakfast — and a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavours with a side of soul. We had the opportunity to visit their new location and it was delightful experience.
We opted for the Full Nashta Plate, and it delivered a festival of flavours. Flaky, buttery parathas fresh off the tawa, paired with creamy chanay (chickpeas), aloo bhujia (spiced potatoes), a perfectly spiced omelette, and a helping of halwa that was warm, rich, and nostalgic — each element struck the right note. And of course, the signature karak chai — robust, fragrant, and poured with care — tied everything together like a warm hug on a slow weekend morning.
What truly set the experience apart, however, was the exceptional customer service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and the kind of attentiveness that made us feel less like customers and more like guests in someone’s home.
A special shoutout to the owner, whose presence and hospitality were nothing short of outstanding. It’s rare to see someone so hands-on — checking in on tables, sharing the story behind the menu, and making sure every guest was cared for. His passion for the food and the people was evident in every detail.
In a world of fast-paced dining and soulless service, Chai Paratha is a refreshing reminder that good food, made with love and served with warmth, never goes out of style.
Final Verdict: Chai Paratha is more than a meal — it’s an experience. Whether you’re craving a taste of home or discovering Pakistani brunch for the first time, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning...
