During a five day stay at the hotel (which is fantastic, this is no reflection on the Best Western) I tried to eat here three times. Each time as disastrous as the next.
Once for dinner I waited over a half hour for my bill, and never did get the water refill I asked for twice. I finally got up to see if I could find somewhere to pay as I'd been flying/ travelling for 8+ hours that day and found my waitress chatting with a friend, leaning against the bar. When I asked to pay she looked extremely put out and told her friend "well I guess I'll see you later".
The one breakfast my co workers and I attempted, after waiting an extremely long time for the food one of us was served nearly raw bacon, one was served dry cold toast, and when we asked for the bacon the be corrected we were served severely burned bacon. And once again waited nearly eons for the bill. In the server's defense,he seemed extremely new and because of that very flustered (and it was getting worse with every table that received an incorrect or late orser), but that leaves one to wonder why on a Sunday morning he'd be left alone in a full restaurant floundering. Maybe someone called in sick - I'll never know.
The third and final attempt was a dinner, I was solo and waiting to be seated for over ten minutes. While I watched a server clean a table not ten feet from me, and said table was surrounded by five empty clean tables. I had several staff walk by... and although i understand serving is an extremely busy job that involves a lot of multitasking, 1) 10 minutes is too long 2) at least say 'Hi' and acknowledge that you see me 3) there were only 5 seated tables 4) if you have time to chat in the corner behind the bar you have time to greet your guests.
If you have a rental car go elsewhere. Or the subway across the parking lot has a really...
Read moreLet's start with the fact that we did not have menus at our table and no drink menu. Sat there for 5 minutes after getting seated when they weren't busy. Got our appetiser before our drinks. No napkins, no utensils and again no drinks... The food was good and came out quickly. The portions are reasonable but could be bigger. The service was very sub par, we whengot our main dishes before we got utensils, they napkins and condiments. When they brought our drinks they didn't have any lemon for our long island ice tea's, they simply used lime and watered it down (the servers words)... Was not a very good experience but at least the food was good. Still don't recommend you to go out of your way to dine here. If your in the hotel than sure, if...
Read moreA really great experience, I wasn’t expecting much in a hotel dining room/restaurant, but this was really, really good. Linda went out of her way to make sure that I understood the menu and Got exactly what I wanted. There’s nothing I would’ve changed, the food was great. The atmosphere was great and Linda’s service was fantastic. The music was really good. It was there, but it wasn’t annoying. A rare experience where you get a great meal from a really really interesting menu, that’s hard to choose from, because each choice sounds better than the last. Most dinners come with two choices of sides so you can customize your meal and make it the way you like it. Thank you for a great meal and a...
