Stayed at best Western from July 29, 2025- August 1, 2025. While staying at this hotel I reported an incident to the hotel manager which was met with a combative and abrasive attitude which was disheartening. I informed the manager that the night shift maintenance worker had knocked on my room door which was answered by my wife at approximately 10:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. my 6 year old daughter was also in the room with her. At this point in time I was visiting with my parents in their room on another floor. The individual when my wife answered the door didn’t introduce himself but walked right into my room, proceeded to walk over the dresser grab the tv remote to turn on the television. My wife was extremely uncomfortable as she nor I had called for any service. When I returned to my room my wife had explained what had happened. I called the front desk and asked why this man had come to my room? No one on my floor had put in a complaint that evening about a tv remote as I was informed of this by the staff member when I questioned them at approximately 11:30 p.m. the next morning the last day of my stay I waited until 9a.m. to speak with the manager. I informed her of my concern and stated that I was upset because my young daughter was with my wife were alone in the room when the man had attended and I stated what if this person was a criminal or had a record… the manager instantly assumed that I was implying racial discrimination and began talking loudly and not letting me speak. The manager became extremely embracive and it was almost impossible to continue having a conversation with her. I was then shown a laughable piece of paper with hand written notes which where the documentation written by the maintenance worker with my room number written on it and I was informed that he may have made a mistake. Regardless of this I explained that my wife was upset and that when a staff member attends your room is it not common practice to introduce yourself and explain what you’re doing? As the manager was being uncooperative I decided to end the conversation and check out. As a customer I will never book with best western again. Please make sure if you go to the pool area as a woman to make sure this gentleman doesn’t accidentally come to your room after he sees you down there swimming. Not sure how someone comes to your room without you putting in a request but I was informed that he is a nice guy and he would be spoken to about his unprofessional conduct when entering guests room. Not impressed and disturbed by the actions of the hotel’s manager when dealing with an...
Read moreI booked a room for my young adult daughter at the Best Western Plus Toronto Airport Hotel on 5284 Dixie Road. I chose Best Western because of the positive reviews and good reputation. In particular I chose it based on the promise of on demand airport shuttle "on your schedule" because she was coming off a 12 hour flight and would have been travelling for over 24 hours at the time she landed. However, her experience with the shuttle was absolutely unacceptable. She called after getting her luggage and was told the shuttle came every 40 minutes - not on demand. It was nearly time though, so she waited at the correct pickup location. When the shuttle arrived she asked if it was going to the Dixie Road Best Western and was told that she was in the wrong place and to wait at post 5. I called to double check the location and was told that she was at the correct post and the next shuttle would be in 30 minutes. This was over an hour since getting her luggage and two hours since landing. When the shuttle came, the driver was incredibly rude. He questioned my daughter on why she had so much luggage (just two regular checked suitcases and a carryon suitcase), why it was so heavy (one was overweight but my daughter was able to lift it, and did help him when he said she had to) and was really aggressive and rough with her luggage and the luggage of the other passengers. She should not have had to explain that she was returning from over 4 months studying abroad to justify why she had so much luggage, it was none of the drivers business and his attitude was beyond unacceptable. The shuttle itself was unclean and she was forced to take her carryon suitcase onto the shuttle where she had to hold onto it in the centre aisle. This was unsafe, in an accident it would be a projectile. She noted that if the shuttle has seats for a dozen or more passengers, it should also have space for a normal amount of luggage per person.
She even overheard the driver tell another person who was waiting that it was the wrong shuttle because the other person asked if it was the shuttle for "Dixen" road location - it was obviously just a simple mistake in pronunciation. She did say that the driver in the morning was much better, very polite, despite having been driving the...
Read moreEXCELLENT and I mean EXCELLENT service provided during my stay. I don't remember the guy's name that took care of me, but I am sure management could relay the message if they found out who was working. I flew in on November 21st and my flight was delayed so I didn't make it to this hotel till roughly 11 PM that night. I checked in and the guy working was very nice to let me know that they were doing shuttle service to and from the airport extended to help with the concert that was going on in town. Upon check in, he greeted me with a smile and asked me for my ID. Asked if I was in town for the concert. Then once he pulled up my reservation, he asked me if it was just me that was staying as I had booked a double queen room. I let him know it was just me and that there was nothing else listed on the website when I booked, so I just had booked anything that was open for the days I needed. He asked me if I would want to be upgraded to a junior suite. I didn't want to if it was going to cost me anything extra. He proceeded to tell me that it was a free upgrade and that I didn't need to pay anything extra for it. He also came back out with 2 water bottles which was a very sweet gesture, as I had been parched from my flight. He was very kind from the start to the finish. He even asked me to make sure I was ok with a higher up floor, and I said that was fine. The breakfast was decent the next morning, just note that it is not included in your hotel stay and does cost. I was told it was $12 CAN. Which I still don't think is terrible for it being right there for you to have. The lady that was working the breakfast on 11/22 was very kind and caring and took very great care of me. Her customer service was GREAT. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was very clean! I appreciated the stay and if/when I come back to Toronto I would stay here again!!! I enjoyed every bit of it. I would also love to come back to experience the pool and the hot tub as I didn't get to take advantage of that. I will post some pictures from my stay :) Keep up the great service and also keep up everything your doing as I...
