I am a repeat customer at several Chatime locations, but on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at around 6:15 PM, my experience at this location was disappointing. My two friends and I ordered three drinks, one of which was the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with pearls.
When we entered, the lady at the counter did not acknowledge us for a good two minutes and was instead focused on an iPad. She eventually asked for our order, and we placed it. Two of the drinks were fine, but the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with pearls was a complete disaster. It was excessively sweet—unlike any other time I’ve ordered this drink. It was so sugary it was hard to swallow, almost like "diabetes in a cup."
I politely asked her to remake the drink with less sugar. Instead of addressing my request professionally, she gave me an annoyed look and stated, “That’s how the sugar level is, and you should have expected that.” I was taken aback by her rude tone. She reluctantly agreed to remake the drink but said, “I don’t usually remake drinks, but this is an exception.” When I received the remade drink, it was just plain milk with pearls—completely flavorless. At that point, I felt this was done out of pettiness.
I decided to ask for a refund because I didn’t feel comfortable requesting another remake due to her poor attitude. She appeared irritated by my request and informed me that she needed managerial approval. After calling the manager, she refunded me in cash, not back to my original payment method (card), without explaining why. Her behavior made it clear she just wanted me out of the store as quickly as possible.
The overall experience was extremely poor, from the lack of acknowledgment upon arrival to the unprofessional handling of my concerns. It was uncomfortable and dampened the mood for both me and my friends for the rest of the day. Management needs to train their employees on proper customer service, as it can determine whether customers return to their establishment. This was a distasteful experience that left a lasting...
Read moreI've been eyeing this spot for a while to check out and it's been over a year so why not?
From the outside looks can be deceiving and it's only when you enter you realize how absolutely spacious the place is.
Decorated in a very modern, artsy yet minimalist way. Very clean lines and the sort of place you could very well hang out in summer to refresh yourself from the heat or in winter to escape the cold but still enjoy your favourite drink.
The place was empty. Bumped into another customer leaving as I walked in. The associate on duty came out right away to greet me. I let him know it was my first time so I wanted to review the menu.
He answered all my questions and made a few suggestions. In the end I ended up choosing a Lychee Tea w/ tapioca.
I was obvious to the chart highlighting the level of sweetness and ice you wanted. *This is an absolute bonus and such a smart idea. It's great to give your clientele the feeling that they are in control of their orders and can customize to suit their palates and dietary restrictions/requirements.
I will admit, the pricing is a bit steep for a regular size drink. It's the equivalent of what I deem a small but everyone's take on size will be different. For me it was small for the $7 price tag.
All that being said, cost of living is higher as is everything else so it's par for the course.
I chose level 30% for sugar and less ice. I could've gone lower or perhaps eliminated the sugar altogether as the drink was still very sweet (not overly, just right).
Overall, a pretty nice place. Good solid customer service. Parking everywhere so no...

I’ve been to many Chatime locations across the GTA, but this by far has the worst service and dullest server. I wanted to treat my kids to some cold drinks on Mother’s Day, but we left empty handed because of the way we were treated.
We walked into the store to find it deserted. We waited for over 5 minutes in hopes that she would acknowledge our presence. She was too busy pouring things to and from big pots. Then when she finished, instead of taking our order, she starts fidgeting with the orders that were coming in from the machine. Ok fine, she finally comes to the cash register, but does not apologize for making us wait. I wanted 3 slushes, and said I want less ice because the last few times, after a few sips, the drinks were left with ice and no flavour. She’s like, we can’t do that. I said, what do you mean? You’re literally making the drinks right in front of us, just put in less ice (I didn’t say No ice), she says, oh, we can’t do that. Then I said fine, I want the same drink, but not as a slush, just the tea, no ice. We had the same argument about the ice. Just don’t put ice in the drinks, how hard is that???! I swear to God, some people are so dense. It’s not a robot making a drink with preset instructions, she’s an actual person that can think in real time, am I right?? Needless to say, I will Not be going back to this location and will tell everyone else...
