All I can say is wow, I did not think I was going to be writing this review about what used to be my favourite haunt. But if you are disabled, chronically ill or otherwise, I would seriously avoid this place because they have a massive problem with our demographic. I have brought so many friends here, but unfortunately, at this point some rude incidents have started to pile up and I can no longer frequent this location anymore. I am chronically, ill and disabled 32-year-old. Itās not always the easiest life to live, and I look able-bodied most of the time. Unfortunately, this leads to a lot of issues in my life. One day the waitress brought our food and drinks over. I said I was feeling very unwell and asked if I could have a glass of water. She told me I would have to come up to the counter and get it. I told her I was disabled, and that morning I was not gonna be able to do that, so please will she bring it to me. She said no stared at me and walked away. I shouldāve taken this as the red flag that it was. I was bullied by a rude older man behind me in line, who told me that he was disabled, and was mad that we were taking a while to order. When I apologized he said his legs hurt. I said I understood and so did mine, he rolled his eyes and told me I wasnāt really disabled either and whereās my cane? This has nothing to do with the staff but for some reason the theme of this post is ableism and Iāve never been bullied like that at any of coffee shop. So it was strange. I know this has nothing to do with the staff. We witnessed the 2 barista men who work there being extremely aggressive and intimidating to some mentally ill people coming in asking for free things. One of them actually ran out behind the counter with his chest all puffed up. I told him that was not appropriate after the incident, and that, since they are beside the compass, they should practice compassion. I was given a whole bunch of nonsense about how they wouldāve just given him some free coffee, but he was harassing them. It seems like BS. The straw that broke the camels back was when we came in after an extremely long and terrible week excitedly for our favourite drink there. I have trouble drinking dairy. They told us they were out of oat milk after charging us for the drink. When this has happened in the past, I actually went over to the pharmacy down the street and bought a container of oat milk so they could make my drink. They never repaid me or offered me a free coffee and this time I figured since there was a new Walmart now literally right next-door that they could go and do that. I asked them if they would and they said no they couldnāt, they would get in massive trouble, and they had to help the huge lineup that was there. What lineup? There were zero people in line. They literally told me that and walked away from me with not 1other person in line. No other explanation. They were happy to give me a bullshit answer, even though Iām a regular and have brought them so many customers. Honestly, I am disgustingly Disappointed by how little they care and how greedy the management seems to be. I would start to boycott this specific location if you are a regular because it has only gone downhill. Fix that attitude problem address the ableism and maybe stop forgetting to put almond extract in your pistachio muffins. A muffin that tastes like nothing is pretty disgusting. For such an attitude, you think the food...

I'm a frequent patron and I find this place to be really good in terms of service, staff and food. Often times, I'm blessed with excellent customer service and sometimes extra perks, but I think that may be related to being a good customer. From remembering my frequent orders to upsizing at no extra charge, I've seen this grace extended to other frequent patrons as well. Such connections can be made here.
I have never experienced or heard of the staff or management augmenting or disconnecting wifi while in the store. There have been times when the internet doesn't work while I'm there throughout the day. But I find, after a simple conversation with the staff, that the problem is either a service provider disruption, or a technical glitch when too many people are connected at the same time. They are quick to resolve it if and when they can. I'm glad I don't always have to use my data when I'm there, but then again, I have my own data and private internet when the luxury of free internet is not at my beaconing call. I'm sure most can understand and appreciate that free doesn't mean guaranted or earned. I would invite any of the complainants to allow I and other patrons free unlimited use of their internet connections whenever the coffee shop is experiencing these technical difficulties. Surely they know what great, robust, trouble-free internet is since they have it and it definitely wouldn't cost them anything extra to share it?! C'mon!
What's the password?
It's "yeahright." All lowercase.
I'm sorry, it's says no connection...
As for outlets at booths goes, I've been the unfortunate soul that has tripped over crossing cables from someone plugging in at one table, but stretching the cord to another. I'm sure that, after falling on my face, management felt it appropriate to consider customer safety over the much needed "free electricity" that must be advertised somewhere... Perhaps under the coffee cups? I haven't seen it... Speaking of which, since it's being suggested that the bottom line is what drives the changes at this business, let's explore it - which would be the better business choice: losing $5/month after overhead from an entitled customer who can't charge their devices vs. a $5 million lawsuit for life altering injuries due to management negligence? Hmm...
Safety first. It could saves millions. What a nice slogan...
I can't speak on other's experiences, but I can use mine to highlight and echo the good things that these people do. You get what you give is a common principle I've learned over the years and I've gotten lots of positives from this Coffee Culture. I hope my personal insight can provide a different perspective to those considering this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been a customer now for over a year, been going for breakfast which always seemed like a decent price for what you get. Today I decided to try their Asiago Steak Bagel with a side soup. When I got back to my store, I opened the bagel and saw that there wasn't even enough meat to cover the bagel. I didn't pay $10+tax ($11.29) for a bagel and scraps. I went back to try and get a refund or a new sandwich that actually looked like what they advertised. The rude employee gave me attitude and said she would have to call the manager. After her conversation, she brought out $8.90. When I told them they short changed me by $2.40, they said they were only able to refund the amount for the bagel. I showed them the receipt which showed $9.99+tax so she gave me another $1. Still short changed by $1.40 which was evidenced by the receipt provided. They told me they weren't authorized to give me back my tax. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me that I would have to call the number on their website when the manager was in.
So to get this straight, they robbed me, and then don't have a single manager on site, on a Saturday afternoon, to refund money owed to a customer that paid. Truly disappointing, as this is the second time this week that the portion seemed extremely small (first time was the Avacado chicken salad). It's not the money, it's the principle, and their principle seems to be money over customer service which is...
