I've given this restaurant a few chances because most times their food is good, but they have absolutely no concept of customer service. Maybe the staff doesn't receive adequate training so they are not all aware of what their policies are so you always receive inconsistent information. Not to mention they should seriously consider training the front staff to be polite. The last time I ordered food for pickup on YP online, my brother went to go pick it up and the lady at the front was very rude to him saying he needs to indicate that he's picking up an online order (which he clearly did..she just wasn't listening). When it was time to pay he asked for the 10% discount upon paying and she said this was not applicable to online orders- I found this strange, because I have always placed online orders for pickup with them and received the discount. She was adamant and didn't give him the discount. When I called a few minutes later, I explained the situation the lady handed the phone over to a male and he had the courtesy to apologize, and offered a 20% off discount upon pickup the following time. He took down my name & phone number. I should have taken his name but I assumed that after screwing up once, the 2nd time they would honour their word. When we went to pickup our order yesterday, they absolutely refused to acknowledge that this ever happened and said there was no record of a 20% discount under my name or phone number. When my father spoke a little firmly after going back and forth for a few minutes, the woman had the audacity to say- OK I will do it this time, but it's a one time thing. EXCUSE ME? This is the fault of the restaurant, so no one was doing anyone a favour by giving the discount THEY had offered. If we hadn't been taking out food to take to someone's house I would have left it there. I will not be returning. I have Nepali family members who would come from far and we would take them to eat the Momo's here but we will take our...
Read moreWas a disappointing experience to say the least. We were a group of 3 and ordered the Szechuan Rice, Manchurian Noodles, Shrimp Chili Gravy, Paneer Chili Gravy and a sweet and soup. It's quite sad to say that the soup was the only dish that we liked followed by the Manchurian noodles. The problem with the Szechuan rice was that it was simply rice with strong red dye which was unappetizing from the get go (see provided pictures). And it had not much ingredients in it but good enough rice to a serve a village. Huge portion but absolutely no flavor. The Manchurian noodles at least looked good but again huge portion, not much ingredients and lack of flavor was underwhelming. The Shrimp Chili and Paneer Chili were simply the same gravy/dish where one dish included the shrimp and the other the Paneer. Again the flavors were really bland and to be honest rather amateurish in their making. For an a restaurant that serves Indian, the Panner one was the worst one. Lack of seasoning and the gravy didn't match the core ingredient. One important note is that all the items we ordered were starred (*) as the popular items on the menu. Not sure about the truth in that one. Message to management, reduce quantity, focus on the flavors and give more quality food. And the Nepali portion of the menu is rather underwhelming. I've had much better Hakka in Mississauga and I am rather surprised by the high reviews provided here. Either I had a bad day or people have not had good Hakka food. Will skip this one in...
Read moreWow!! Wow!! Wow!! I am speechless! I am a realtor.. I eat out and entertain my clients A LOT!! I am from Pickering but was in the area and just spotted this place and thought of getting some food. This modern wicked and weird era where humans have no morals , values and ethics... Where everything is nothing but "money money money"....on top of being the food is soooooooooooooo fresh amazing.... I was shocked and amazed the service I received! I usually and often in my finest suits...but today.. I just walked into this place in a pair of jeans and a T shirt.... Ordered food for take out... Paid with my credit card. Had a beer while waiting for the food. The gentleman who was serving me... Even though I was just waiting for pick up food... Brought me a glass of water... I was very much impressed! When I was about to leave after picking up my food .. just realized I forgot to get myself a drink...so I asked for a can of Coke.... He gave it to me...then I asked "how much I owe you"? And his response was "it's ok...it's just $2....don't worry about it " I insisted at least to take cash from me... And he insisted that it was "on the house". Again "wow wow wow" God bless your heart sir! God bless your business and family! May you be a multi billionaire! I hope and pray the entire mankind would stop counting pennies and start counting blessings!...just like this!! Listen Brampton and Mississauga! !!!
