Had the pleasure of visiting here to pick up an order for my sisters 50th bday party, small place but the service was exceptional the younger staff member working the front counter was so nice and pleasant to deal with she took care of the order which was ready for pick up. We had ordered 6 rotisserie chicken some rice and potatoes in total I had 3 large trays of food the trays were hot so one of the staff from the back refused to let me carry the hot tray to my car and insisted she come out to put it in my car the lady couldn't have been nicer such great service. The food was delicious, chicken was juicy and potatoes soft and tender and don't forget the sauce ....excellent. Wouldn't recommend this place. Found multiple hairs in my rice. When I went back to complain I looked in the back where most of the food is prepared and not one person was wearing a hair net and not just that people were handling money in the front then going to the back and touching food without washing their hands. God knows what other unsanitary events are taking place back there especially when you can't see what's going on. The other complaints regarding day old products is very believable, I bought a sausage roll pastry for the drive home and it was dry and gross ended up throwing it out. I stumbled onto this place by accident while driving by and making a U-turn. Since I was hungry and love Portugese food I decided to try this quaint little spot out. I want pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the server was pleasnt. I'm big on service. They didn't have a huge hot table for food but what they did have looked and smelled amazing. I wanted one of everything but refused to be a glutton on that day. Lol. I went with the codfish stew and a few day old tarts that were different than the custard tarts I'm used to. These tarts were more like cake with no custard in the centre and almonds baked into the top. They weren't sweet like the custard tart but still very smooth on the palate.
