I recently had the pleasure of trying out a small takeout place that offers delicious Indian cuisine. With both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on their menu, this place ticks all the boxes for a satisfying Indian food experience.
One of the standout dishes for me was their vegetable biryani. This fragrant rice dish was packed with a variety of fresh vegetables and aromatic spices, creating a flavorful explosion in every bite. The Chana Masala was another highlight, with a perfect balance of spice and tanginess that left me craving for more.
The naans served here are simply outstanding. The freshly baked, pillowy breads were a perfect accompaniment to the flavorful curries. I loved how they were soft yet slightly crispy, just the way a good naan should be.
Speaking of spice, the Chana Tikka Masala managed to pack quite a punch. If you enjoy bold and spicy flavors, this dish is a must-try. The heat level was just right without overpowering the delicious blend of flavors.
It was evident that the food here is made with care and using fresh ingredients. Every dish was served piping hot, and the flavors were vibrant and authentic. The cleanliness of the place also deserves a mention, as it showcased their commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment.
The friendly and welcoming staff added to the overall positive experience. They were attentive, patient with any queries, and provided helpful suggestions. The best part was the timely service - the food was prepared and served without any unnecessary delays.
Behind this successful takeout place is chef Moinuddin, who undoubtedly is the backbone of the restaurant. His culinary expertise is evident in every dish that comes out of the kitchen.
Overall, I highly recommend this small takeout place for anyone craving authentic Indian food. The delectable vegetable biryani, mouthwatering Chana Masala, and freshly baked naans are just some of the must-try items. With clean surroundings, friendly staff, and timely service, this place offers a hassle-free and enjoyable...
Read moreStarting on a positive note, I visited this place on recommendation of my friend who liked their veg biryani. On entering, the ambience seemed fresh (obviously due to recent opening). First look at the chicken varieties were very tempting, but I did not taste those. Got a pound of Pinni and half pound of Milk cake and Badam barfi. Milk cake and barfi taste average. Sugar is on higher side. All the sweets are stored at very cold temperature, possible to prevent perishing. It takes a while to thaw and probably taste better (I tasted it while it was still too cold). Pinni was a disappointment. Priced at $15.99/lb, which is supposedly on higher side, I expected it to be in pure ghee. I got a mild acknowledgment on 'desi-ghee prep' from the employee while ordering. When my wife tasted it at home, she was utterly disappointed due to the oil essence in it. I was also sad as I tried to surprise her with some Indian sweets & had walked 2kms to get it. It is probably made in oil or saturated oil (commonly known as dalda in India). I could not determine at the store due to my nasal allergy, but at home could determine the fat depositing on the tongue and upper surface of the mouth was not ghee but some kind of oil. The price at which it is sold is not reasonable and one cannot expect it NOT to be ghee ! Probably my expectations were not correct & could have returned the sweets if time permitted. Would not hold the employee responsible, but I am amused to know that the owner decided to serve sub-standard Indian sweets at such premium location. I had started planning (khayali) to try the chicken curries next, but will refrain from any purchase. Employees deserve 4-stars for hard-work and honesty on sweets' shelf-life; QC is owner's responsibility for which he deserves -ve score, thus rounding...

The Amritsari Fish was an ode to the rich culinary heritage of Amritsar. Its denature quality was impeccable, ensuring the fish retained its moist and flaky texture while being enveloped in a golden, crispy batter. Each bite transported me back to the bustling streets of Punjab, where this dish reigns supreme.
The Tawa Chicken, on the other hand, was a heartfelt tribute to home-cooked Indian meals. It reminded me of the comforting meals from my home in India. The chicken was succulent and tender, with a rich tapestry of spices that danced on my palate. The mouthwatering presentation was the cherry on top, making it almost too beautiful to eat.
Chef Mohideen's flavor profile is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. He manages to pay homage to the age-old recipes while adding his unique twist, making every dish a delightful surprise.
