Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Mississauga

So I do not eat out at fast food places very often - in fact, hardly ever. But today my kids wanted to try Popeyes since they have never had it before. Since I do not have a "Go-To" popeyes location, I specifically googled a location with a lot of good reviews, and this location had 4.4 stars and 1200+ reviewers. I honestly don't know who is reviewing this place with high star ratings, but not deserved!!! My son ordered an original chicken burger and asked for No tomato, No mayo, and No pickles. He got what he asked for and enjoyed his food, but I got charged an extra 50 cents for "extra lettuce"... what is this nonsense??? My daughter ordered boneless chicken bites in honey BBQ, and we had to wait almost 10 minutes (we were told 3 minutes) for her food to be ready, while my son and I ate, and she munched on fries. I ordered a 4 PC meal, so I could have 2 pieces for lunch at work tomorrow. I felt that the chicken was really greasy, and far too much salt in the skin. I ended up throwing out the other 2 pieces since I did not enjoy the 2 I did pick at. Furthermore, I asked for 2 original and 2 spicy, and the guy said he only had 1 spicy one left so he gave me 3 original pieces instead. The place was pretty empty when we got there, and yet most of the tables were not cleaned. There were 3 men and 1 woman working at this time, and the woman had the better customer service attitude than the 3 men. 1 guy seemed to be struggling to make the burger in our order correctly, while I had to ask another guy to clean the table, and the guy in the back had a long beard and was not wearing any kind of hairnets from my viewpoint. Lastly, of course we wanted to wash our hands afterwards, so my son went to the washroom and came back to say not to go into the first bathroom. I thought, what is this kid talking about??? I went to go wash my hands, I opened the door to the first bathroom in the hallway, and it was not clean to begin with, but it also had like 12-15 pairs of shoes laying all around the floor and around the sink area. If they are going to use it as an employees bathroom, there should be a sign on the door "employees only". There was an employees only sign on the door beside, but after seeing that washroom, I would be scared to see what was behind that door.😬 The washroom at the end of the hall was cleaner (in the sense that there was no clutter all over the floor), but it was still not very clean. Update: I just dropped my rating from 4 to 1 Why? Was in today to grab a Ripping Chicken which I have done before. Now since this is your promo,one would think it would be readily at hand? Nope ...a wait of 10 minutes and when I received my meal the usually crisp brown chicken was a pale,wet lump. When I questioned it I was told that some cooks use less batter. I took a photo for posterity. As I turned away and looked back the young Asian girl..skinny ...was laughing with her colleague and they both looked at me and so I returned and asked " did you have something to say? " To which she snapped " no" and laughed. I have noticed her time and again and the last time I wrote a review ..she spends most of her time chitchatting and barely working. So now not only is your service sub par but the food is now equal. You are lucky it's a national chain because if it wasn't your staff would probably put you out of business

Popeyes menu is terrific However.your staff needs to spend less time chitchatting with each other and get orders out faster. No reason to have 10 people standing waiting over 15 minutes for your new special. If it's a new special and heavily advertised , common sense will tell you it will be in high demand so why isn't it ready? And when two cooks are at one fryer laughing and talking and the front staff has to remind them for the second time to get popcorn chicken cooked,there is a problem I frequent the location and staff is usually great but yesterday I actually asked for a refund and left without my order. And as I was doing so another customer was complaining that his pick up order took an hour and that this was the second time

and please Popeye's HQ .stop with the paid fake reviews ,we can tell which they are ..like Hassan mohammed ... saying "i love this trendy restaurant' .Seriously? You have great food and staff but trendy ? only someone living outside the country would write that as a standard review. You don't need fake reviews ,the quality of your food stands by...
