Sawmill Creek — Attraction in Mississauga

The Sawmill Creek trail is much improved in 2016 with new boardwalks, bridges and trail surface improvements. It is mostly unpaved with dirt, crushed stone and mulch surface. It is a short and convenient escape from the residential density in the area. The creek carries runoff so it is shallow and slow when dry but swells following a heavy rain. Occasional deer sightings. It's a three star (average) trail that I raised to four stars because of the recent improvements. It is simply a wooded ravine trail that offers little else. This is great trail if you are looking for low elevation and even ground. It is very accessible and not physically demanding. Only 3 stars as it is not a challenging hike and you are surrounded by houses on the hills and traffic noise from the main roads.
