The Sawmill Creek trail is much improved in 2016 with new boardwalks, bridges and trail surface improvements. It is mostly unpaved with dirt, crushed stone and mulch surface. It is a short and convenient escape from the residential density in the area. The creek carries runoff so it is shallow and slow when dry but swells following a heavy rain. Occasional deer sightings.
