Royal Thai House — Restaurant in Mississauga

We visited the restaurant today and was thoroughly disappointed with both the food and the service, which did not live up to the high prices.

Our meal included spring rolls, fresh roll, veggie stir fry with chicken, mango chicken and pad siew with beef. The spring rolls were overly oily with undercooked cabbage, and the mango chicken was drenched in a gelatinous sauce resembling canned mango. The pad siew noodles were mushy with an odd taste, and the so-called veggie stir fry lacked the listed vegetables, drowning instead in an unappealing yellow curry. Even after asking the staff, the waitress insisted the orders were correct and neglected to clear our plates between courses.

Ultimately, we left our food almost untouched and opted for McDonald's on the way home. We regret that we had to discard the meal and cannot recommend this...

Really excited to have a Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.

Mango salad was decent - a good mix of sweet and tart. Will likely get again.

Coconut soup had pieces of lemongrass in it in addition to mushroom and chicken but was so sweet and otherwise lacking in flavour that we almost didn't finish it. Will not order again.

Pad see ew had good amount of beef and Chinese broccoli in it but it was quite greasy and again, too sweet. Might consider giving it another try.

Cashew chicken came with rice and a lot of sauce but not a lot of cashew nuts and we also found the dish on the sweet side. The kids enjoyed it very much though so we...

I live in the neighbourhood and decided to give this place a try, so I just ordered the mango stir fry with chicken lunch special and the Thai chicken wings for take-out to share with my 2 kids. The wings were extremely disappointing, there were 8 little pieces for $11. They were dry and burnt to the point of being blackened on the outside. The stir fry was ok, fairly priced with a decent amount of food and just enough for sharing. Serving obviously burnt chicken to customers is not my idea of good service, so based on this initial experience I will not be returning. I recommend the other restaurants...
