I wandered into this place a few years ago when it first opened. I was curious went in. Right off the bat, the place is very clean, brightly lit and everything looked amazing.
I tried the samosas and some milk cake along with some other delicacies.
Fast forward years later and it's still the place I pop into for some chicken and beef samosas and if the mood strikes...some milk cake.
The store is still exceptionally clean, brightly lit and the display cases are always filled with delicious, mouthwatering goodies.
Over the years I've tried some of the sweets and the carrot halwa I believe it's called. They only serve it on weekends. The samosas are always crunchy and seasoned right. I do wish they would give you more sauce but that's an easy fix...I simply ask for more.
I once tried a dish I cannot recall the name, it was veggie samosas chopped up with onions, tomatoes and a couple sauces. It was absolutely delicious but, it was perhaps too rich for my stomach so that was a miss for me. Which is too bad because it really was very tasty.
The service is usually good. The ladies at the front are pleasant. Occasionally there are periods where the customer service is a miss but overall the I have to say it's ok.
I would say check it out especially if you like meat filled samosas, a nice change from veggie...
Read moreMy very first time at Soghaat. I couldn’t take a picture of few other items I tried there. Chicken patties, veg patties, Almond cake, macarons, pineapple pastry, Vanilla Ice cream, and lastly sweets ( gulab jamun, pistachio halwa, vogh sagar, and some others) I wanted to try halwa poori also, but I was late. For me I might won’t go there again. I didn’t try pizza there, someone told me not to.. I would like to say about gol gappa. I had high hopes among all the other shops that it would be good there. Literally i would give 0/10. The water was like i am just drinking tamarind water. No taste at all. Just too sour, and the gol gappa it self weren’t smell nice and felt soggy to me.
-Samosa chaat, I told them not to add sweet sauce and yogurt. So they just gave me dry chaat instead. They didn’t even add green sauce or any other sour sauce. I would give it 6/10. -Dahi bala chaat for me 7/10 Almond Cake was amazing 10/10 Kulfi rabri falooda 9/10 Vanilla Ice cream 5/10 Pineapple Pastry 10/10 Gulab Jamun 7/10 Pistachio Halwa 10/10 Macarons 5/10 (the flavors I Ordered) All Patties 8/10
Over all experience were Ok. I don’t know if I would recommend this place to someone. But this is just my experience. Others might have...
