My 9 y.o. son and I went to have some wings after his soccer practice. I ordered 2 pounds for myself and 1 pound for my son. I made a mistake of ordering HOT. We have had wings at other establishments and him and I can usually tolerate HOT. Not this time. Ok, my bad, MY mistake, I simply asked the server if I can order another pound of wings and have it mild this time. I was willing to pay because my son couldn’t eat the hot wings as it was too spicy for him. The manager came to the table to deliver the MILD wings and without me saying anything he goes "Are you waiting for more people? You ordered a lot of wings. You can't take any leftover home because it is a deal". I thought to myself, I wasn't even asking. I am very familiar with the policy that you aren't allowed to take anything home if you can't finish the wing deal whilst dining in. The manager's approach was unprofessional and uncalled for. It was very apparent that the manager was a first generation immigrant and does not have your typical Canadian-born customer service ethic. He does not know basic customer service skills. My experience was very consistent with the other low rating reviews where they mention that the manager was 'condescending' towards them. I have been to the Mississauga Rd. location and I find that location a lot better. The Aventura Ct. one is quite trashy. I wish I had taken pictures of our wings. They looked like they were deep fried twice. They were sooo dark and didn’t look fresh. I’m guessing they probably reuse their canola oil multiple days in a row? Between my son and I, we probably had about 9-11 wings. We left the rest. And even if we were allowed to take them home, I would’ve left them anyways. Too salty and overcooked. We went and there was a group of people infront of us who the manager took to be seated right away, he spent a long time with them to decide where they wanted to sit. We were left at the entrance waiting for 10 minutes, he didn’t even acknowledge us once. No “hello, hi, I’ll be with you in a minute” nothing, not one word. When these people finally decided where they wanted to sit the manager and a waitress started cleaning the tables and during this time he still failed to even acknowledge us. We were basically standing there looking stupid because we weren’t sure if we were going to be seated this this point. After how long he finally comes and asks how many, he didn’t even once apologize for us waiting. When we say it’s about time he gets angry and says that he doesn’t appreciate our attitude and if we’re going to be like that he does not want to serve us and they are “very busy” joke is, it wasn’t that busy. And well guess what, we don’t appreciate waiting there for 10 minutes and not having him or a waitress/server acknowledge us, we understand he was busy but we’re there not any servers or waitresses that could have attended the others waiting at the entrance. When he finally sat us down the table and seats were dirty. This is unacceptable and he should not be a manager there if HE has ZERO customer service skills. Read moreMy family and I dined here last night and our experience was an absolutely awful one.
There were only 2 staff working, and the service was atrocious. We waited over an hour for our food, our appetizer came out with the meals, and 1 entire meal was forgotten about. The missed order was not delivered in a decent time, as the rest of the table had already finished their meals.
The manager stated he would remove the forgotten item from the bill - but when providing my parents with their debit machine, my mother noticed the item was not removed, and he tried to charge her for the missing/late item.
The manager was unapologetic and seemed annoyed to want to help us.
When all 3 receipts were provided, every single one of them had mistakes, which took another 15-20 minutes to resolve.
I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. The staff were unprofessional, unapologetic and overall disinterested in offering any form of customer service.
In a market where business is essential, our experience last nice proved to be the complete opposite.
I am absolutely disgusted with the service and the lack of empathy for the wait time, error in orders, mistakes on the bills and the overall service as it was terrible.
We spent $166.00 and our business meant nothing to the server and the manager on duty. I have never experienced such a horrendous experience at a restaurant.
