Let me preface this with I’ve never written a review before and I’m not a complainer but I had to express my feelings as no one here seems to care.
I’m currently in this hotel and I’ve been here since 4 pm last night (Nov 2/2023 to Nov 3/2023). We were celebrating our Anniversary and everything was perfect until my boyfriend and I ordered room service from the Terrazzo Ristorante Bar & Grill downstairs in the hotel.
We ate around 7 pm I believe and by 8pm, he was violently throwing up and had diarrhea, he was freezing but had a fever, muscle aches all over. When I called down to the front desk to ask for an extra blanket, I also wanted to let them know what was happening and I was dismissed, talked over and told a blanket was on the way.
He continued his symptoms until 1 am then we both fell asleep. He then woke up around 630am and left for work and that’s when I started with the symptoms. Vomiting, Diarrhea, cold and body aches.
I called down to the front desk and told them I got food poisoning from the food downstairs and I’m not able to make the 11 am check out. That I’m having every symptom my boyfriend had last night, I’m feeling horrible AND after a long night of helping my boyfriend with the same symptoms and all they could do is extend check out to 12:30pm after that they’d have to charge me. I tried to ask for the manager but I was ignored and dismissed AGAIN.
I didn't have the strength or energy to argue with anyone as I’m still sick from the food poisoning. I’m honestly in physical pain and feel miserable. I want to sleep, not get in a car for 40 mins to go home. And I’m frustrated that this establishment is so unhelpful and uncaring. The worst thing is if I had more of a back bone I’d make a fight about this because I feel I deserve better. The worse service and treatment ever.
Update: I called to the front desk and tried to explain that I’m still food poisoned and I’m not ready to leave the room but also don’t want to pay to stay another night as the night I did pay for was ruined. Not once has anyone I’ve spoken to acknowledged the food poisoning. I’m immediately told that, the best the manager could do was reduce the room rate for another night. The price for another night is upwards of $200 and I need to go down to the lobby to charge my card or they’ll send someone up to collect cash. I however have an app to get hotel rooms during off peak hours and entered the exact room and hotel and from 9am to 3:30pm I can get a room for $100. After mentioning that I was told I can stay in the room until 3:30pm with no charge.
I can’t wrap my head around the feeling of not caring at all from a customer service stand point. Never mind as a human being to not have any sympathy for how I’m feeling. Physically ill with food poisoning from the establishments restaurant. On hold for 14 minutes to be told ‘come downstairs and pay or we’ll send someone up for cash collection’ …...
Read moreI booked a 1 night "Romantic Dinner Stay Package" this past weekend. Arrived on Saturday, went up to our room. Toilet handle looked broken, called Front desk who sent up housekeeping. the lady in housekeeping she forgot to put the handle back up when she cleaned room. (huh, put it back up?) Anyways, the toilet flushed as she pushed it down. She left, went to use the bathroom to flush and guess what....handle not working. Lifted the lid and guess what...no water in tank at all...called the front desk again, she (Her name is Poonam) sounded very frustrated, was going to check again with housekeeping, after Poonam said to me housekeeping said it's fine and works! I told her it doesn't. She said she would call me back. so as we continue to wait in our room...Poonam calls back and said we will change rooms. Went back to front desk..Poonam unhappy, gives us new key. No apology...nothing...so off we go to the next room. Toilet works!! (Yayy) hallway light...doesn't. Bed very comfortable, rooms dated. So anyways with this "Romantic Dinner", I thought we would have been given a table with possible a candle for me and my BF....nope!!!....just a regular table...Not sure what their definition is of "Romantic", is...but it was not. Very very disappointed and emabarassed that I took my BF on a non-romantic get away. So also surprising was the dinner options, not what it showed on the website. Thank goodness for our wonderful and only server in the restaurant KELLY!! She is awesome, wonderful so friendly and kept us laughing.. LOVE KELLY!!! I hope they tell her of this wonderful review about her!! So then we finish our dinner and the only elevator in that place.....not working.....an employee went to "reset" it....still didn't work. This place needs all kinds of renovations. Now the checkout....Poonam...again....this is how she greeted us....so I owe you the deposit of $100.00 back....sign here.....There was no "so how was your stay, sorry for the inconvenience, NOTHING! Read moreWorse Experience in a Hotel. It is going to be hard to be brief in my experience but I will try. Me and my family came from our vacations in Mexico. I made the reservations for 2 rooms, trough redtag.ca, a week and half before, to spend the night as we arrive quite late from Mexico and we need to drive a couple of hours to our city. The day before we left Mexico to go back to Canada, I received and alert that 50 dls were charged to my credit card, it was ok. We arrive at 3 am to the hotel the guy in f/d took forever to give us the room, he also charged extra $100 as a deposit on top of the $50. When we arrived to the room, it was filthy and air conditioning not working. Check the air conditioning and my socks got wet because the carpet was damp in water. Finally got a new room at 4 am that was not much better than the other one. Next we were not brave enough to use the shower Next morning we go down to the "restaurant" to eat the "inclusive breakfast". there were no eggs (you had to pay $6 for them), a few REALLY old and hard as rock croissants (It is true they were 3 day old reheated croissants) and some cereals. I check my credit card report and it showed 2 more charges of $50 dollars. I went to reception to do my check out and talk about the charges and the guy (different one than night before), kept telling me, they will be giving me back $50 plus the $100 deposit, I try to explain but the guy always interrupted me ( like he know what I was going to say and repeated the same thing) . Called the manager and she came over the guy was repeating the same thing to her, until I had to show them the report, they had to give me back the 3x $50= $150 plus $100 deposit. for one night(advertised at $146) they put a charge of almost $400 dls to my card, and if I did not realized on time about the extra charges, I would be probably still calling them to ask my money.
