Chuchi, the owner of this food truck is probably the nicest person I have ever worked with! I hired his food truck, Tropical South to feed an army of people at our Charity Softball Tournament. He is always timely in arrival, super nice to customers, and finally, his food is to die for! I have tried every item on the 2023 menu and I didn't find a single item I didn't enjoy. I visited his truck at the CNE Food Truck Frenzy and got the Cubano and the Havana Tropic. The Cubano is a pork and cheese based sandwich where all the flavours meld into a delicious blend of savoury delight. What a find!!!! Always want to try something a little different while at the CNE... well Tropical South is a gem!!! Chuchi, a great host!! Wonderfully prepared Cuban street food. The Yuca Mainia, WOW what great find!! Yuca was delicious with a great topping of beef, a fresh salad and delicious Mojo sauce. Then to add to a beautifully prepared dish; a wonderful refreshing pineapple drink with a perfect balance of mint and ginger. All I can say is WOW!!! Collingwood taco and cheesecake festival- went there to do some R & D as we are in the catering business. Tried many food trucks and this is the only one I would review.
