Amazing food🤤, always made fresh, open style kitchen 👌very large portions. Used to be cash only. Now they accept debit & credit. Finally. Thank you management. It’s used to be a hassle with cash only, yes they did have a...
Read morePROS 1.- portions correspond to the price. 2.- very tasty meals 3.- good variety of dishes (fish and chips, soulakis, hamburgers, steaks, breakfast all day, salads, beers), 4.- open 24/7/365.
CONS: 1.- the only time you interact with staff is when ordering and taking your order. At no point you are greeted or smiled upon. How much extra cost or hardship is to smile and make you feel appreciated when taking/giving you your order?... 2.- They only accept cash. There are private ATM machines inside to dispense it, at a nominal fee of $1.99, of course. 3.- the staff is not in a hurry to clean the tables; you may get the sticky table. 4.- I don't know why there were pesky flies around us but they kept bothering us.
EXTRA NOTES: originally I gave them four stars but later on I got diarrhea, since theirs was my only meal that day I assumed eating the greasy French fries of my companion were to blame, or was it something else?
The battered fish was satured in oil, that happens when the oil is not hot enough so the fish batter soaks the oil while is being fried, same thing with the French fries.
If you are hungry and just want to fill your stomach with plenty of tasty food and you give a damn about the "restaurant experience" this is the go-to place. You won't regret it. Don't forget to bring cash. Average price of dishes is around 13 bux. Money well spent.
A Toronto Gem Worth the Hype
I recently had the pleasure of finally dining at Zet's Restaurant in Toronto, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant was bustling, with the parking lot full and the dining room buzzing with energy. The excitement was palpable, and everyone's face reflected the joy of the experience and the delicious food.
We opted for the Zet's Burger and a Chicken Souvlaki on pita, and both were outstanding. The burger, with its perfectly grilled double patties, crispy bacon, and melted cheese, was a flavor explosion in every bite. The simplicity of the ingredients truly shone through.
The Chicken Souvlaki was equally impressive. The chicken breast was juicy and incredibly flavorful, and the accompanying tzatziki sauce was a perfect complement.
While the fries could benefit from a bit more crispiness, they didn't detract from the overall dining experience.
Observing other patrons' dishes, I noticed that everything looked and smelled incredibly appetizing. I'm eager to return to explore their menu further, particularly their plates.
This dinner experience was especially meaningful as I was taking my mom to the airport, and we hadn't had a chance to enjoy a proper meal together in a while. She loves visiting me in Toronto and savoring the city's incredible food scene. Zet's Restaurant perfectly encapsulated the vibrant culinary spirit of Toronto.
Zet's Restaurant is undoubtedly one of Toronto's...
