Read many great/positive reviews, and we decided to order several items from Fahda's.

We ordered their Beef & Chicken Shawarma Dinners, a Donair Wrap, Falafels and some Baklava.

Unfortunately the meal was disappointing. The chicken shawarma was extremely salty and was not fresh, but frozen, with a the same texture & consistency one would expect from frozen chicken. The beef shawarma was the same meat as their Beef Donair which they used interchangeably.

The tabouli was tossed in and mixed with the salad. The rice was average at best.

As a whole, the shawarma meal was far from what I (and my better half) expected, coming from a city which had amazing shawarma s and middle Eastern foods.

The falafel were not crispy and nutty, were stored in their steamer and soft/spongy. It lacked love.

The baklava were overly sweet and tasted unusual, and not what we expected when compared to other baklava we have tried else where.

If you are used to high quality, great tasting shawarma and falafel from bigger cities such as Toronto, sadly this isn't anywhere close to the same quality and tastes as what you would expect.

As I write this, I am left extremely thirsty from all the salt they used for their foods! We really wanted to like this place, but sadly our cravings for good shawarma will have to wait a bit longer.

Edit/Update:

I forgot to mention the Donair was pretty good. Lots of meat and fresh ingredients, it was well balanced and flavourful and stood out as the menu item to get. I have upgraded my review to reflect the rating due...

Fahda's in Moncton proved to be a delightful find during our recent visit to the downtown car show. Seeking a quick and fresh meal, we decided to step away from the hustle and bustle and try this spot.

Located just out of the busy downtown area, Fahda's offered the perfect retreat. Despite the limited indoor seating and the sweltering heat outside, we found a cozy countertop spot by the window. What struck us first was the speed and freshness of the food. We ordered a falafel wrap, and we got to watch as they prepared it right in front of us at the counter.

Sharing the wrap with my son was more than enough for a mid-afternoon lunch. The wrap was generously sized, packed with crisp veggies and flavorful tzatziki. Each bite showcased the quality and care put into the preparation, making our 10km walk ahead much more bearable.

The food was undeniably delicious. The vegetables were crisp, and the seasoning was spot on, creating a well-balanced and satisfying meal. While I enjoyed every bit of it, my son, though slightly less enthusiastic, agreed that he would certainly return.

In summary, Fahda's offers a quick, fresh, and tasty option for anyone in the Moncton area. Whether you're looking for a brief respite from downtown activities or just craving a good meal, this place is worth a visit. We left feeling satisfied and ready to tackle the...

Fahda's is back at their new location just a couple of doors down from the old spot. The new restaurant is beautiful and an appropriate update, albeit a bit smaller. There's a bit less dine in space and the kitchen is more efficient too. I visited at opening at 11 am.

Fahda's wonderful food is back too. Fahda is known for her super fresh food and caring service. Everything tastes fresh and amazing. Uniquely, she bakes her hand made falafel which is always crispy and tasty (and healthy!)

This time I had the chicken plate. It included chicken, rice, salad and her baked fries. I had it with pita, baba ghanoush (eggplant), garlic sauce, and olive oil dressing. Everything was delicious! This meal was about $20 including tax, a great value for this high quality food.

If you are looking for an amazing Mediterranean meal, don't miss Fahda's...
