Disgusting Experience — Never Again! We went to this café with kids. From the very first step, you can feel the unpleasant, stale atmosphere. The interior looks like something from the Great Depression: wallpaper peeling, old chairs and tables — and not just old, but “updated” by covering the tabletops with cheap laminate, uneven and crooked. It literally feels like you’re eating in a prison dining hall.
The table for four was a tiny 70×70 cm square — barely enough space for a phone, let alone your arms after they bring the plates. Once the dishes were served, there was simply nowhere to put your hands. The plates had chips along the edges. I’m sure even an asylum cafeteria looks more decent.
Now, the food — yes, the portions are large, but the meat was cut so small and thin, about 1×2 cm pieces, that you could neither see it nor taste it. The total amount of meat was maybe 30 grams. For the same money, we could have gone to an all-you-can-eat buffet, walked up to the counter with ready dishes, and taken as much meat as we wanted, as many times as we wanted.
The bill came to $80 for three portions, and most of it was just noodles and vegetables. Unreasonably expensive, unpleasant to look at, and disgusting to sit in. I do not recommend it, and honestly, places like this should be banned...
Read moreThis is a review of the lunch buffet. The good...staff were very polite and attentive the restaurant was clean. The not so great...very little options to choose from, of which, most of the meat was over cooked with the texture of jerky the chicken balls were dough balls without chicken, everything was battered and deep fried, some of this food came from a box and was not made in house. At the price point of $25/person one would expect several tables of food to choose from. I wouldn't like to compare to pricing from the Mandarin in Ontario...there are 6, 20' tables of food to chose from as well as a deli bar with fresh prime rib, a pizza bar, a sushi bar and a soup & salad bar...all for the price of $26.99 for their lunch buffet which also included seafood. Their food is fresh and delicious. Do better Kim Long. I will not...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have been touring the east coast and found ourselves a tad peckish on a Monday night in Moncton. Decided to indulge in the cultural mosaic this beautiful city has to offer with a dinner buffet at Kim long's. We arrived 2 hours before closing and the buffet had been packed away. Not being the picky type, we decided to order off the menu. The first three consecutive items I ordered were shot down by the tired looking waitress, mentioning that they no longer had it in stock. By the third item being shot down we decided to leave and went to the Swiss Chalet across the street. There the food was fresh and delicious, the service was fast, friendly and more than accommodating. My girlfriend and I ended up having a lovely evening. 10/10 would go back...
