Final edit: we have been back since our previous subpar experience and unfortunately as hard as the manager tries, there are clear deficiencies.
This most recent trip the waitress was quite friendly and helpful, we were there around lunch time on Sunday for a late breakfast. From the time of order to receiving food was OVER 90 MINS, in fact, closer to 2 hours. The waitress apologized, but somehow they were running so far behind they just couldn't get plates on tables. To their credit, they tried to soften the wait with a free smoothie for the kids and did offer a 25% discount on the final total.
However, it seems there's always something wrong and unexpected when we go in. Used to be a regular go-to for us, but we've accepted that we will need to move to another weekend regular breakfast location since there always seems to be something that goes really wrong with our visits to this location. Somehow after waiting all that time my over medium eggs were nearly raw and my daughter's scrambled were ice cold.
If you're looking for a good consistant experience, and without risk of potentially blowing out your schedule for the day, I would suggest considering going elsewhere.
Previously had a poor experience with this location, have been regulars for many years now.
The manager reached out and made it right, our return visit was exceptional with attentive service and great breakfast.
Wait wasn't too long and we never had to wait or even ask for coffee refills.
Clearly well managed and worth a trip if you're looking for a great breakfast, service and atmosphere in the North...
Read moreNot a good experience. Entire restaurant seemed to be having a systematic meltdown when I arrived. I was told that there were some delays in getting food out and that it might be 20 - 30 minutes to be served. I was in no rush so I was seated.
I immediately overheard tables all around me talking about how long they had waited for their food. I saw very little food coming out of the kitchen and people becoming increasingly impatient. I ordered a meal and a coffee and didn't hear from my waiter again for about 45 minutes. (he dropped by to let me know the food was coming shortly) I had to flag down other wait staff for coffee refills and my food was actually served by someone other than him. Luckily, he remembered to stop by with the bill at the end of the meal.
I was finally served shortly over an hour after being seated. Strangely I was served before several people around me who were already there and waiting when I arrived. The food was mediocre at best. The cheese on my steak benedict was the processed kind from a plastic sleeve. There's nothing pür about processed cheese. Prices were steep when contrasted with the quality of the food.
Frankly, even if you excuse the absolute gong show from the wait staff and kitchen, there's a long list of better breakfast spots already in town.
To management - if you're having issues getting food out of the kitchen, at least advise your servers to make sure patrons other...
Read moreWe come to this location almost every weekend. Our bill is always around $75 for the 3 of us, which is about $300 monthly! We always order everything extra well done and the cooks seem to be used to us by now because our meals are almost always perfect. There are some excellent staff there, Alex and Kyra to name a couple, and we always have exceptional service...except for today!! Our waitress, Maggie, did nothing but rush us from the moment she arrived at our table and had no time to listen to what we wanted. For example, she was asked to bring a cappuccino bowl full of hot water with a tea bag in it. Instead, she brought the bowl half full with a tea pot of water on the side. She rushed us through ordering, and ran off before we were done talking. Our meals came and were quite disappointing. I had to flag down someone else to ask for a coffee top up. She finally came back to ask how everything was and when we began to tell her it was disappointing, she literally turned her back on us and walked away. We made a point to speak to Alex before we left, and made it known that we were shocked by her interactions with us, and that we seemed to be an inconvenience to her.
We will continue to come in for our weekend breakfast, but will not be served by Maggie on future visits! She definately doesn't have any table side manners and needs a lot of work on her customer service skills!...
