Was visiting Mont Trembland around 2PM, looking for some sort of Middle East kebab. Considered high google rating of this place and set GPS to Amir restaurant. After looking at food behind the counter ordered two Dona kebab, According to his recommendation half chicken half beef in big container which had salad too. Chicken was dry and beef was old dry and too spicy. Terrible food, ate a bit, the rest in garbage. $45 dollar without drink.
Being an old man, I try to learn from my mistakes but sometime fail to implement them. I judge food from appearance rather than name, which tells the quality to 60-80%. 1-When food does not look very good, then should walk away. 2- When in doubt, better order small size. 3- Restaurant good review doesn't mean quality, it could be made up review. 4- Quiet restaurant during lunch hours or dinner means low quality. But if it is a good location or fancy building, then it may still look busy and you think the food they give is good which may not. 5- A person like me that is not easy with food quality , better to be explicit. In this case I should have asked to cut the meat from that rotating kebab machine before my eye. They may give you left over from days ago. Lots of spice they put on meat is to prevent them from rotting. 6- The North American Fast Foods which have burger, cold cut sandwich, or pizza, are far better than many individual restaurants which their only concern is to make money. Chain Fast Foods have some minimum standards to adhere to.
I still remember Dona kebab I ate in Istanbul and Shish Tao in Damascus Syria 25 years ago. Mr. Amir should send his cook to Turkey to some reputable Dona kebab, to work as apprentice for a month or so, to learn the...

If you're visiting Mont Tremblant and craving delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, Amir is a must-visit spot. I recently dined here, and every bite was a delight, complemented by exceptional service.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the chicken. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The seasoning was spot on, making every mouthful an experience to savor. Paired with the perfectly seasoned potatoes, this dish was a home run. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement the chicken.
The salad was another standout. Fresh, crisp, and packed with vibrant flavors, it added a refreshing balance to the meal. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the dressing was light yet flavorful, enhancing the natural taste of the vegetables without overpowering them.
To finish off the meal, I indulged in their ice cream and gelato dishes, and they were simply the best. Rich, creamy, and available in a variety of flavors, these desserts were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Beyond the food, the service at Amir was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. A special shoutout to the manager, Joe, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and ensure everything was perfect.
Overall, Amir in Mont Tremblant delivers on all fronts – from the perfectly cooked chicken to the amazing desserts, all paired with outstanding service. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just a sweet treat, this restaurant won't disappoint. Highly...
Read moreI have only been to 2 Amir. The one in Sherbrooke Quebec did not have friendly staff and the portion was very small. Very little meat. However the rice was very flavourful. I didn’t do a review. This Amir location is very good. It’s next to La Belle Provence and Benny & Co. There’s also a gas station next door. Very convenient. It’s just off the main St Jovite strip. The price is really good. For a combo with rice potato salad and pita bread it’s only 16.99. There’s an ice cream place in there too. I’ll try next time. Portion is generous. A lot of meat. Very tasty. Seating area inside is ok. I prefer outside seating but it’s ok. I can still go next door to grab a smoked meat sandwich or a piece of chicken and eat inside. This is a new place. It deserves a...
