The service is absent and the atmosphere is not pleasant. The food is OK, but nothing special.
For details see below: When we arrived the waiter put menu and a piece of paper on our table while running away. We waited for a long time to get any attention from the staff, but the waiter just ran, grabbed the piece of paper where we wrote our order and started running away. It took a great effort from us to even ask one question about the menu.
We ordered a bit of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was the best dish there and I recommend it. From the meat selection, the beef is definitely the best. Though, all meats share pretty much the same spices and taste similar.
I wonder how they cook this food as when I was going to the bathroom (the way goes through kitchen), I saw a lot of smoke which did not look like healthy cooking to me.
The shrimp was not cleaned at all, I struggled for a while with cleaning it and ended up just leaving it there. Also they DO NOT HAVE ANY SIDES AT ALL, no noodles, no rice, ZERO.
The staff does not care about you, does not pay any attention to you whatsoever. The service at this place is ABSENT! And with that they have the nerve to hand you the terminal with TIPPING OPTIONS STARTING WITH 15 %!!
In general, it is not a good place to eat and I would go only as a...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem! The cozy, small space makes for a relaxed dining experience, and the food is both reasonably priced and absolutely delicious.
The service might seem absent to some, as other reviews have mentioned, but I completely understand since it appears to be a family-run business with just one incredibly kind woman managing everything. Sometimes, she even has to step into the kitchen to help the chef, which shows just how much effort she puts into running the place. On my first visit, I wanted to try the tofu and egg salad, and she kindly explained that the egg was a century egg, asking if I still wanted it. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness!
My favorites are the lamb, chicken, and pork skewers. Most dishes are seasoned with their signature slightly spicy spices, which I enjoy—no complaints there. As someone who prefers protein over carbs, I like that they don’t serve rice on the side. For those who want sides, they offer a variety of bao and salads, which is a great option.
I also respect that they sometimes refuse service when the place is too crowded—it shows they care about maintaining quality and giving customers a good experience. They’re always sincere and...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? First time I try this restaurant, I was dragged by a friend who told me nothing about it and to just “Trust me”, and let me tell you, trusting her was the genuinely best decision I’ve ever made food wise. After my first visit, I immediately fell in love with this place, I’ve been countless times w my partner (friend mentioned above) and we haven’t gotten tired of their menu! Truly wonderful skewers and dishes, but if you ask me what the best part of their menu is… I’d have to say the BYOB😼. Their menu offers different spice levels so don’t worry if you don’t have a high spicy tolerance, Da Dao caters to all! Anyway I need to stop talking and get back to eating, you can probably guess where I am right now as I’m writing this, GIVE IT A TRY because it is definitely underrated and needs to get the fame it deserves.
They might want to play music tho, sometimes it does get very silent and...
