A&W Canada — Restaurant in Montreal

Extremely poor customer service.

I would put 0 star review if I could. I was a regular customer since I live near the place and I enjoy their beyond meat burger a lot.

Last time I went there I was charged twice by mistake. I tap with my credit card once and it appeared as it didn't work, so I inserted the card and my pin in order to pay.

When I noticed this on my credit card activities I went there to let them know.

It was a 8.04$ charge and I had to wait 15 minutes for the owner/manager to come see me. He made me go upstairs and asked a lot of questions and even made comments insinuating I was lying. I even showed him my online credit card charges and everything.

He told me he would call me back during the following days and if I didn't receive a phone call to call back to the store. All of this humiliating treatment for a 8.04$ charge.

I'm definitely going to the A&W on St Denis...

I see many other reviews also saying the employees are rude. I thought it was just me. They value profit over customer service which many businesses have done post pandemic. It just makes it easier to know which places to avoid spending money in the future. The prices have drastically increased when to be honest the food is very soggy. I prefer the competitors as they have better value and quality. Almost 20$ for the Nashville chicken sandwich trio. I should have used that money to buy chicken from the grocery store and at least I know it is 100% chicken and won't have the soggy microwave quality. If you had to raise the prices then at least please increase...

I was in the mood for an A&W burger and there’s one by my place on Parc Ave attached to a Petro Canada and I found the Petro Canada staff extremely rude and they also didn’t get my order right. I only noticed it when I got home and opened the bag and noticed 1/2 my order was missing! I called the Petro Canada several times and the girl who answered kept hanging up on me without listening to my reason for calling.
