Today I ordered half an hour before closing on UberEats. They accepted my order and then sat on it for no less than 1h30m before cancelling.
I understand if you don’t want to take my order, but you need to reject it as soon as you know you can’t fill it, no excuses. I saw on the app there was an Uber driver that was assigned and waiting to pick up my order for at least 30 mins. I’m sure he lost tips and earnings because someone in the store simply didn’t care enough to continue checking the app. How is that fair to them? You’re just taking earnings from other customer service workers.
Of course it’s also not a way to treat customers. It took me 2h30m to finally get food today from start to finish—I was starving. I used to work in a restaurant and I can’t imagine just leaving a table there for 90mins. Especially after you’re holding a charge on their card that they can’t cancel in order to take their business elsewhere.

EDIT: In response to the owner, I am very mindful of my facts.
And yes this definitely happened I watched it happen. Own up to it and ensure it doesn’t happen again instead of making excuses. Clearly someone was not looking and only canceled the order after everything was closed and they were locking up. Or the app was left to time out.
For your information UberEats holds the money and there is no way for the customer to chancel. So functionally speaking there was no way for me to cancel until you cancelled. I got my money back automatically but only after 1h30m of being told my order was being prepared and watching my Uber eats drivers...
Read moreMy family and I have always enjoyed Allo mon Coco on Côtes des Neiges corner Côtes St Catherine and loved the service we called the staff by their first name. We tipped generously and made this a regular breakfast/Lunch destination. Today we were greeted by a new hostess who sat us on a bench next to a noisy group and we kindly asked if we can be seated on a further bench which was empty. The hostess refused to give it to us claiming it was occupied and I showed her that it was not occupied saying that we wanted to be seated where we can hear each other. She was upset and told us that we don’t have the privilege to seat wherever we chose. after which time she was walking around with a coffee pot serving other tables but not ours, she stood in the kitchen area and it seemed that we were not to be served properly. Only one dish was served and when I called for the manager she said that our waitress did not put our other order through. The waitress promised that she did. Basically, we were very disappointed to be treated like we were undesired customers and neither the hostess nor the manager acted professionally and to internationally gang up to avoid our table and not allow anyone to serve us, when we came to eat and relax after a whole morning in the hospital was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience and all that just because we wanted to be seated in a table other than the one assigned. The previous hostess and manager had a better sense of customer service. Left a...
Read moreIf I was able to give 0 stars I will do so, had the most unpleasant experience here about a year ago and since I never hear from them, I went to have breakfast with my mother and my 11 month old baby and while we were waiting for the food my baby was watching some videos on the phone which was not to loud just to mentioned the restaurant wasn’t either , we were just a few tables ) suddenly a young blonde waitress came to ask me to keep my baby quiet and to put down the volume since it was bothering customers and I asked her which ones , the place was practically empty which she answered just do it madame , I really did not understand too much what was the issue so I asked to speak to the manager , a man named tony came and introduced himself and i explained the situation , he literally laughed in my face and the food came, i told them that the situation was not funny to me and that i was not eating anymore and i was gonna leave which he said first pay for the food that we did not touch. When i realized that the table who complaint about my baby watching videos was the table with the staff girls and I knew it was them because they were literally laughing and mimic us , I paid because I did not wanted my kid to see me loose my temper, I contacted the o offices to complaint and after a year I never hear from them , so this a not to go , There’s many other locations where you can eat and don’t be treated and laughed in your face. Avoid this...
