Allô mon Coco LaSalle — Restaurant in Montreal

The food was delicious as per other reviews. The service was awful and the manager should be fired on the spot for his incompetence regarding his crew and even his behavior. Although we were just 2, our plates didn't arrive at the same time. Mine were lacking toasts, had to ask for them and I had asked whole wheat non buttered and was brought white buttered. Had to keep asking for coffee, rarely saw our waitress, was not even our waitress that brought my plate. The few times she did come she made a mess pouring the coffee and didn't clean it up, when she came later, she rested a coffee pot on the table and it made a ring. 2 messes caused by our waitress before we had our food.... 2 bus boys near us kept talking to each other and when tried to get their attention, just walked away. No ketchup on the table, no syrup. Maybe just me, but if a client orders has a breakfast with pancake in it, you should ask if they want syrup.... Asked if I could have maple syrup, waitress said sure, 10 minutes later I got table syrup. When she brought the syrup, we asked for coffee and she dashed away, would have also asked for receipt but had no chance of doing so... after waiting 15 minutes, I asked the manager for the receipt and wanted to leave. He asked were is your waitress, I replied, yes, were is she !!!! I told him we had been waiting for our coffee for 15 minutes and now we just want to pay and leave.... He did not give us the bill and insisted on serving us coffee which we didn't want anymore, we just wanted to leave. By the time we finish our coffee our waitress finally arrives with the Bill.... I usually leave 20% tip for good service. I left her no tip which represents the quality of the service received. SHE CONFRONTED US, she said she believed her service was good and didn't understand, I told her I didn't feel comfortable having this discussion but she insisted on me justifying myself, so I listed all what she did wrong, to which she noded her head and left.... the manager was nowhere to be found. Her excuse as to why she was absent for 15 minutes, it was busy... PS, the dinning room was 1/3 full by this time and not 100% full like when we arrived. She had 3 tables to take care of (or not take care of in this case). I had brought many people to this particular Allo Mon Coco.... I will never go back there again. EVER. I am 48 and this is in the top 3 of worst service ever in a restaurant. My gf has a condition which can cause aggressiveness when backed against a wall (kinda like the hulk)... this waitress could have caused a bad situation by being confrontational with us. Terrible waitress, manager has no control over waitress and bus boys... if he would have been at his post at front of house, he could have told beavis and butthead to put a sign ''caution wet floor'' which was wet and greasy after they were done, actually it was worst after they mopped than before and they just chatted and left the floor like that. When my gf came back from the bathroom, she almost slipped. This is a girl involved in a severe car accident and a fall could be detrimental to her.... Owner of allo mon coco franchise, fire your weekend manager and fire...

I went with my son to this restaurant cause he likes the food from this chain, this location thought manage to send our day to bad start. We got there at a good time and we waited an hour, we called a server at least twice to have our order taken and without any explanation they just keep telling us to wait while people that came after us had their breakfast already. How is this possible ? My wife called and ask to speak to a manage cause I told I server it’s been to long we’ll have to leave, and he went to speak to a girl and she looked at us and did nothing, I’m guessing it’s the same girl in the phone with my wife that said that she was sorry but that’s all she could do, be sorry! Since they didn’t have staff cause people don’t wanna work, it’s hard to fine staff, yes we know, my wife actually works in a restaurant but that doesn’t mean they don’t have staff they are just bot organized, and they are careless and have zero experience in customer service since if at least someone would have come an explain that they were under staffed and they were sorry but they will take cate of their order just wait it wouldn’t be that bad, the fact that they served other people before that came in way after and also that nobody cared to come and give a tiny explanation or so it’s unacceptable. Not letting a side that the person on the phone who was supposedly the manager told my wife that there was a huge line, and if we come back will have to wait in line not even get inside and have an order taken… she offers 10 percent my wife didn’t even ask for a percentage she just asked if we could go inside now that they were OK and be available to order, and she could only say no cause the other clients are in line first, they won’t be happy! Then explain that you took an hour and totally dismissed a client!!!

Terrible...

This place wouldn’t even get a star if it wasn’t for the lovely attentive service.

My son and I treated ourselves to a late breakfast. He ordered the crepe stuffed with Nutella & strawberries and I ordered the eggs Benedict with Swiss & avocado with fresh pressed OJ.

We were promptly seated and the hostess was very kind. Minutes later a waitress took our order. She was both friendly, efficient and made an effort to talk either in French or English! The restaurant was barely occupied. My son was served way before me leaving him time to almost completely finish his meal before I was served. I watched him eat and kept explaining why he was eating and I was not! I found this so odd!

Mine arrived cold and one of the poached eggs was punctured. The waitress offered to replace it but I really didn’t want my 6 year old awaiting 30-45 minutes for me to eat! The eggs Benedict was bland. The bread was slightly burnt. The potatoes were probably reheated from yesterday. The fruit was plentiful (which is really a nice touch) but found some unwashed raspberries with earth or mold on it. The fresh OJ was probably the tastiest thing I had!

My son, who is an avid lover of his stuffed crepe dish was sadly disappointed. The crepe tasted burnt, this leaving a terrible aftertaste. There was barely a tablespoon of Nutella and three cut up strawberries. I get this was off the kids menu but they deserve good food too! Leaving everything to be quite dry.

We’ve eaten at other locations and must admit, this one was TERRIBLE. All this for roughly $55 including tax and tip. There is far better breakfast...
